July Court Update

For those of you praying for my family this last Friday while my fiance faced off with the mother of his children in court, here is the update:

The judge granted the mom to have visits with the girls every Sunday from 9am - 5pm as long as her sister or her mom is present. This will stay in effect until the next court date which is August 19th, which is the modification of custody that she filed. Due to the roughness of this last hearing, my fiance is going to try to get an attorney for the modification hearing simply to drive home as many key points as possible as to why she should NOT have full custody.

As far as I am aware, the visit went well today. The children seemed to have a good time (They went to church with their mom and grandma and aunt and then went to the river). There are still some hostile feelings from them toward their mom, and our older girl (Shilynn) is still talking about how she is upset about her mom still being with this man that is pretty much keeping them from her.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers. The Lord was with us and will continue to be with us. I feel like the fact that the Judge did not grant any overnights with their mom along with putting in place supervision shows that he did have some concern about the boyfriend as well. August 19th will be the big one though. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Thank you all and God bless you!

Melissa
