Congratulations and praise God!
Father in Heaven, male and female You created them. Thus a man leaves his parents and cleaves unto his wife and the two become one flesh. You prove this through the blessing of children. Merciful and loving God, we lift all married couples up to You, asking that You bless them with a lifetime of peace and comfort, challenges and reconciliations, as You have so ordered it from the beginning. Graciously open their eyes to Your constant presence in the Sacrament of their marriage. In Your immeasurable love, give them the hearts of servants, as is witnessed by Your Son, "God with us", to serve rather than be served. For, it is out of Your intense love that Christ gave us the Divine example of service, that we should, in love and obedience, desire to emulate. Our lives are not our own, Lord, but remain as Your gift to each of us. So it is with the Sacrament of marriage. Grant that we may be good stewards of that Sacrament until we receive Your Blessed call home. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen!
