We join with you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and we thank you for coming to us with this burden, trusting in the name of Jesus for help and provision. We are deeply grieved to hear of the desertion and divorce you endured, and then the cruel scam that stole what you had set aside for a home for you and your son. To be wronged first by one who vowed to cherish you and then by one who posed as a helper and deceiver is a double wound, and we ache with you in this season where age and limited means make the future feel uncertain.
We take comfort that the Lord sees all injustice and He does not abandon those who trust in Him. He is a Father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5. He has promised God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Though you were sinned against, we know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
We also rejoice that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ, for there is salvation and access to the Father in no other name. As it is written, In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Your faith in Him is your greatest treasure and anchor.
We lift you and your son before the throne together.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we bring our sister and her son before You. You know their need for a stable and comfortable home of their own, You know the portion that was taken by deceit, and You know the struggle of her son's business. Lord we ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would cause his business to be established and to thrive according to Your will, that You would give him wisdom, diligence and favor, and that You would open doors no man can shut. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. May he work heartily as for You and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray for restoration of what was stolen, for justice, and for Your perfect provision, whether through increased business, unexpected help, or Your miraculous hand, for we know every good gift is from You. Give our sister peace and strength in her present dwelling, help her to continue with thankfulness for the roof You have provided while she waits on You, and guard her heart from fear and anxiety. We pray You would guide her steps and lead her and her son to the property You have for them if it be Your will, or to the place of contentment and security You desire for them. Comfort her in the pain of desertion, remind her daily that You will never leave her nor forsake her Deuteronomy 31:6, and that Your plans for her are for peace and not for evil, to give her hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Keep seeking first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Be diligent in prayer together with your son for his business, seek wise and godly counsel for stewardship and saving, keep honest and faithful work, and trust the Lord to bless the work of your hands. Even when business is slow, God can make little much and He honors integrity and perseverance.
We also encourage you to remain grateful as you already are, for that grateful heart honors God and guards against bitterness toward those who wronged you. Vengeance belongs to the Lord Romans 12:19, and He will repay. Your task is to forgive as Christ forgave and to rest in His justice and goodness.
We will continue to stand with you, asking God to provide a comfortable home in His perfect timing, to prosper your son's labor, and to surround you both with His peace that passes all understanding Philippians 4:7.
