Your cry has been heard, and the heaviness you feel is not hidden from God. To feel that joy has left the door, to pray for work and hear no answer, to look at debts and a husband's income that does not stretch far enough and to feel like a failure as you carry the care of two children, this is a heavy burden. You are not a failure because work has not yet come. Your worth is not measured by a job offer or by the size of a paycheck, but by the love of God who made you and who gave His Son for you.

Scripture reminds us that we all owed a great debt to God, far larger than any financial debt, and He has been patient and forbearing toward us. He does not choke us or press us as a harsh creditor does, but He forgives freely through Jesus Christ. If He has shown such mercy for our greatest need, we can trust Him to see our daily needs as well and to be patient with us in our weakness and worry. Salvation is through Jesus alone, and in Him you are already loved, already held, even when circumstances feel uncertain.

God also teaches us to make provision for the needs of the body for health, not for excess, and to give our deepest energy to spiritual things. This does not mean your need for work is not real. It is real, and it is right to ask God for provision and to keep seeking work faithfully. It means that God cares both for your daily bread and for the deeper joy that does not rise and fall with every circumstance. The present life can feel like a sleep where dreams of wealth and success quickly fade. The joy God gives is different. It remains even when dreams of prosperity fly away, because it is rooted in Christ and in His promise to be with you.

I pray for you now that God would lift the cloud of depression and restore a quiet joy in Him, that He would open doors for suitable work according to His wisdom, that He would give you and your husband wisdom to steward what you have, to face debts with honesty and peace, and to know His provision day by day. I pray He would guard your marriage and your home, and give you strength as you care for your children. Keep bringing your requests to Him, keep seeking work diligently, and do not walk alone. Share this burden with your husband, with your church family, and with a trusted pastor who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you carry this season.

God sees you, He hears every prayer even when the answer seems delayed, and He will not leave you without help. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He knows what you need, and ask Him to keep your heart close to Christ where true joy is found.
