Father, thank You "through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we have hope," Rom 15:4. "Is anyone among you suffering? let them pray," James 5:13. Jesus taught entire parables in to the end that, "we ought always to pray and not lose heart," Luke 18:1. So we, in faith and fervent sincerity, entreat You: "You who spared not Your Only Begotten Son, John 3:16, but delivered Him up for us all, how will You along with Him not graciously give us all things?" Rom 8:32. Renew our minds, speech and conduct to where we surrender to and comprehend the end goal of Your wisdom revealed through the multitude of inspired counselors to rejoice, have courage and be glad in tribulations, Matthew 5:11-12, John 16:33, Acts 5:41, Rom 5:3, Rom 8:18, 2 Cor 4:17, Heb 12:10-11, James 1:2-4, 1 Peter 4:12-13, Rev 2:10-11. Help us study to show ourselves approved, 2 Tim 2:15, meet pressing needs, read, listen to and receive wisdom from good biblical counseling material and the godly advice of friends and pastors, Ps 23:3, write and share prayers and teachings that benefit ourselves and others -- and may trials not hinder, but rather advance The Gospel and strengthen The Kingdom of Jesus, 2 Cor 4:11-13, 1 Thes 2:2. So kindly let our disposition be of that motivation, assisting You as Your Bride, Gen 2:17-18, identifying with You as The Suffering Servant, 1 Peter 4:1, 2 Cor 4:12, Col 1:24, John 12:24-25helping it spread with power, love and full conviction and be received as it is -- the actual Word of God, the power of God for salvation, not coming from man, Gal 1:12, Rom 1:16, 2 Thes 2:13, not to us but Your Name be Glory, Ps 115:1, Eph 2:8-9.

Give Your angels charge over ###, ###, us, ### and all of our prayer partners (including all our family members, friends and those You've ordained for us to reach, Eph 2:10-11), even angelic protection until we behold Your salvation, Ps 91:11-16, Heb 1:14. Sanctify us in the Truth, Your Word is Truth, John 17:17. May we clearly hear Your voice, John 10:27, being constantly led by The Holy Spirit (as adopted children with the same Father as Jesus and each other), Rom 8:14, and MOSTLY obeying Your voice, even if it's difficult or costs us something, Gen 22:16-18; 2 Sam 24:24. Keep us all from all sin, Zeph 3:13, temptation, evil, evil people and the evil one, Luke 11:4, Matt 6:13, 2 Thes 3:2-3, John 17:15 -- keep deception and lies far from us, Prov 30:8.

Again, allow trials to draw us, our families, friends, readers, prayer and financial partners closer to You in prayer, James 5:13 and literally pray and sing hymns to God after severe treatment and in hostile conditions as the Apostles chained in confinement recorded in Acts 16:25. Help us read, memorize and apply The Bible, Ps 119:11, with understanding, Lk 24:45, and application, James 1:21-22. Help me worship like Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail, Acts 16:25. Help us fast the fast You have chosen, really, by abiding in You Jesus, that we may learn the secret of bearing abiding fruit in each and situation, Phil 4:12-13, for truly apart from You we can do nothing of eternal significance, John 15:5 -- grant grace to abstain from food, eat pulse as Daniel, drink water, take supplements -- to use our spiritual weapons of power to bring down things that can't be brought don otherwise, Mark 4:29, strongholds and lofty thoughts being punished when our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:5-7. Loose bondages, set the oppressed free and restore righteous dwellings, safe cities and reformation of covenantal relationships, Isa 58:6-12. Help us count trials as joy, James 1:2-4, as we see these earthy improvements in our lives and the advancement of the Kingdom, as we press on to attain the New Creation, Rev 21:1-6, with You never leaving us or forsaking us through the process, Deut 31:8, Josh 1:5, Matt 28:20, Heb 13:5, and we who overcome will attain all this, Rev 21:7. Thank You in The Amen and faithful witness Name, in whom all the promises are Yes received by faith, John 3:16, John 6:29, Rom 9:16, Rom 9:30-32, Rom 10:2-11, Rom 11:20, Heb 4:2, Heb 13:5, 2 Cor 1:20, in Jesus' Name.

We lift this heartfelt and Scripture-saturated prayer to the throne of grace, rejoicing in the way it aligns with God’s Word and His purposes. Your cry for perseverance, joy in trials, and the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom resonates deeply with the heart of God. The Scriptures you’ve woven together, from Romans to Revelation, paint a beautiful picture of how suffering and glory intertwine in the life of a believer. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that trials are not in vain but are tools in the hands of our sovereign Lord to refine, strengthen, and propel His Kingdom forward.

The Word reminds us, "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). This truth must anchor our souls when the storms rage. The suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18). We pray that this perspective would not just be head knowledge but a living reality in your life and in the lives of all who read this.

Your prayer also highlights the critical role of Scripture in sustaining hope. "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope" (Romans 15:4). We join you in asking the Lord to open the eyes of our hearts to see His promises as sure and steadfast, even when circumstances scream otherwise. May the Holy Spirit bring to remembrance every verse you’ve hidden in your heart, especially in moments of weakness or despair. Let the Word dwell in you richly, transforming your mind and renewing your strength (Colossians 3:16).

We also affirm your desire to hear God’s voice and obey it, no matter the cost. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). Obedience is the hallmark of true discipleship, and it is in the place of surrender that we find the peace and power of God. We pray that you, and all who read this, would have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, even when it contradicts human logic or comfort. May you walk in the same obedience as Abraham, who did not withhold his son, or David, who refused to offer to God that which cost him nothing (2 Samuel 24:24).

Your prayer for protection from sin, temptation, and the evil one is vital. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we are not ignorant of his devices. We stand in agreement with your plea for God to keep deception and lies far from us, for "the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one" (2 Thessalonians 3:3). We rebuke every scheme of the devil aimed at derailing your faith, your family, or your mission. May the Lord surround you with His angels, as He did for Elisha, so that you may see the hills full of horses and chariots of fire (2 Kings 6:17).

We are especially encouraged by your heart to worship in the midst of trials, just as Paul and Silas did in the Philippian jail. Their praise shook the foundations of the prison and set captives free (Acts 16:25-26). Worship is not just a response to victory; it is a weapon in the battle. We pray that your praise would rise above every circumstance, silencing the enemy and releasing the power of God. May your life be a living testimony that "the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).

Your call to fasting and prayer is a powerful reminder that some victories are only won on our knees. Jesus Himself said that certain kinds of demonic strongholds can only be broken through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). We join you in asking the Lord to grant grace for this discipline, whether it be abstaining from food, media, or other distractions, so that your spirit may be sharpened and your focus fixed on Him. May your fasts be the kind that God has chosen, ones that loose the bonds of wickedness, undo the straps of the yoke, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke (Isaiah 58:6).

We also lift up the desire for the Gospel to advance through trials. The early church thrived under persecution because they understood that their suffering was not in vain. Paul wrote, "For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake" (Philippians 1:29). We pray that your trials, and ours, would serve as a platform for the Gospel to spread with power. May the fragrance of Christ be evident in your life, drawing others to Him even in the midst of hardship (2 Corinthians 2:14-15).

Finally, we stand on the promise that "he who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God and he will be My son" (Revelation 21:7). This is the hope that sustains us, the hope of a new creation where there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, we press on, knowing that He who began a good work in us will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). We pray that you would run with endurance the race set before you, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Amen and faithful witness, in whom all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). We thank You for the hope we have in Christ, the living hope that does not disappoint because Your love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). We ask that You would continue to work in us, both to will and to do of Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). May our lives be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

We pray that You would fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, empowering us to be witnesses of Your love and truth in every circumstance. Let Your Word go forth from our mouths with power, convicting hearts and transforming lives. May we be bold as lions, yet gentle as doves, always ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). Use us, Lord, to advance Your Kingdom, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and to comfort all who mourn (Isaiah 61:1-2).

We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement that would seek to hinder Your work in us and through us. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the finished work of Christ, who disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15).

Lord, we ask that You would unite Your people in prayer and purpose. May we be of one mind, one heart, and one spirit, as we seek Your face and Your Kingdom. Let Your love bind us together in perfect unity, so that the world may know that You sent Jesus and that You love them as You love Him (John 17:23). We pray for revival in our hearts, our homes, our churches, and our nations. Let Your glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your goodness, knowing that You are working all things together for our good and for Your glory (Romans 8:28). May our lives reflect Your love, Your power, and Your grace, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). What stands out to us most is the picture you painted of Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail, singing hymns after being beaten and chained. That image can feel so lofty that we wonder if it's meant only for heroes of the faith. But Acts does not record that they felt like singing when the lock clicked shut. They had to choose to lift their voices while their backs were still raw. Sometimes the most powerful worship is the simplest song we mumble when we have no song left. That is not hypocrisy; it is the sacrifice of praise, and God receives it as precious.

In times like these, the book of Job reminds us that the best thing we can do for our own soul is also the simplest: be present with the Lord without rushing to fix everything, be silent long enough for our racing thoughts to settle, and then speak encouragement to our own hearts, reminding ourselves of the truth we already know, the same truths you have written out. That rhythm often sustains us when the breakthrough feels far off.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who is fighting to rejoice in the middle of real hardship. You know every ache, every sleepless night, every moment of feeling chained. Meet them in the cell, as You met Paul and Silas. Give them a song when the silence is heavy. Keep their mind steady on Your voice, and do not let the trial harden them or take them out. Use this season to deepen their roots, and bring them through with a testimony that will strengthen others. We ask this in Your faithful name, Amen.

The supplication that rises from your heart is a sweet fragrance before the throne. In it I see the very marks of grace, a soul that clings to God in the teeth of trouble, seeking not ease but kingdom advance. This is no small thing. When a man can welcome the trial because it drives him to prayer and opens his mouth to sing in the prison, he has learned the secret that the world cannot grasp. The martyr torn in pieces finds his agonies transformed into harmonies of intense delight because God is with him. Give me God, give me God, and I care not what you withhold. This is the mastery of the spiritual life, to count it all joy when manifold trials fall, not because the flesh delights in pain, but because faith beholds the weight of glory they are working.

You ask that trials not hinder but advance the gospel and strengthen the kingdom. This is precisely the divine method. For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death works in us, but life in those to whom we minister. Do not shrink back from this sacred economy. The seed must break open in the dark earth before the harvest waves golden in the sun. Your sufferings, your prayers, your acts of obedience in hostile conditions, these are not obstacles to the kingdom; they are the very instruments by which the kingdom comes. When you worship like Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail, the foundations shake and prison doors fly open. The world calls it loss; faith calls it gain. The ungodly man forsakes God when adversity comes, but the true child clings to his Father however roughly He deals with him. You are proving your lineage.

You have entreated the Lord to let you hear His voice and obey, even when obedience costs. This is the path of the Suffering Servant, and the Bride must walk where her Bridegroom leads. There is no joy in God except as you see Jesus Christ intimately knit with Him and with yourself. Do not try to go to God by any other way than through this golden gate of the great Sacrifice. When you identify with Christ in His sufferings, you are brought into the innermost chambers of His love. The Creator is the substantial All in All, so that he who has God has all that he can possibly need. Are you in want? He is fullness. Are you in weakness? He rides upon the heaven in your help. Are you assailed by the evil one? He who kept Daniel in the lions’ den and the three holy children in the furnace walks with you in the fire.

The angels have their charge concerning you. You are hedged about by divine protection until the appointed hour of your deliverance. But remember that the greater angel of the covenant, the Lord Jesus Himself, never leaves or forsakes His own. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all. In the meantime, take up the spiritual weapons that are mighty through God. Fasting and prayer are not incidental to the Christian warfare; they are the battering rams brought against the strongholds of the adversary. When the church gives herself to such earnestness, God will do a work that shall make both the ears of him that hears to tingle, not with horror but with joy. He will yet let the world know that there is a God in Israel.

Go now, beloved. Speak on God’s behalf with the testimony He has written in your trials. Pour out your soul in writing and prayer for the benefit of others. You have yet to speak on God’s behalf, and many a halting soul may be won by what you have learned in the furnace. Joy in God is the happiest of all joys, the solid and abiding joy. He who boasts in God grows like God. Though the fig tree should not blossom and the flocks be cut off from the fold, yet still you can and shall rejoice in the God of your salvation. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and God Himself shall be his God. This is the sure word of promise, sealed with the blood of the covenant. Embrace your trials as the rough-hewn steps by which you ascend to the New Jerusalem, where tears are wiped away and joy eternal breaks forth like the morning.

Tribulation works patience. Knowing this, you should glory even in tribulations, for the wrestlings themselves have no less relish than the rewards. The life of man upon earth is a state of trial, and each one who will live godly will be persecuted. But let not this distress you, for in that very suffering you learn the secret of bearing abiding fruit. Godly tears are a germ of perpetual and unfading joy.

Not every rejoicing is good. The world’s joy begins with sweets and ends in bitters, but true rejoicing is in the Lord. The apostles were scourged and they rejoiced, bound and they gave thanks, stoned and they preached. When you read of Paul in chains, singing hymns in the jail, understand that his joy was full even in dishonor, in want, in humbleness of mind. These are the things that produce real joy.

Consider how great the things to come are, when even at distressful things you can be elated. Affliction anoints you unto patient abiding. It is a great good to depart hence, to attain even to the Kingdom of Heaven. And you cannot obtain this in any other way than by choosing here not what is pleasant, but what is profitable, and being willing to be afflicted a little, bearing all things with thanksgiving. For the very flesh of Christ suffered, and He knows what tribulation is; He is able to succor those who are tempted.

If you had not been persuaded of a good hope, you would not be filled with more alacrity by suffering. Let your fasting and prayer and study be colored not by dejection but by that joy which springs from holy tears. Mourn in order that you may laugh indeed, that you may rejoice in the time of unmixed joy. That joy is simple, undeceiving, without any admixture of grief. Press on to attain it, and you will see earthly improvements in your life, and the advancement of the Kingdom.
