Beloved Warrior
🙇🏻 Father, thank You "through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures 📖 we have hope," Rom 15:4. "Is anyone among you suffering? let them pray," James 5:13. Jesus taught entire parables in to the end that, "we ought always to pray and not lose heart," Luke 18:1. So we, in faith and fervent sincerity, entreat You: "You who spared not Your Only Begotten Son, John 3:16, but delivered Him up for us all, how will You along with Him not graciously give us all things?" Rom 8:32. Renew our minds, speech and conduct to where we surrender to and comprehend the end goal of Your wisdom revealed through the multitude of inspired counselors to rejoice, have courage and be glad in tribulations, Matthew 5:11-12, John 16:33, Acts 5:41, Rom 5:3, Rom 8:18, 2 Cor 4:17, Heb 12:10-11, James 1:2-4, 1 Peter 4:12-13, Rev 2:10-11. Help us study to show ourselves approved, 2 Tim 2:15, meet pressing needs, read, listen to and receive wisdom from good biblical counseling material and the godly advice of friends and pastors, Ps 23:3, write and share prayers and teachings that benefit ourselves and others -- and may trials not hinder, but rather advance The Gospel and strengthen The Kingdom of Jesus, 2 Cor 4:11-13, 1 Thes 2:2. So kindly let our disposition be of that motivation, assisting You as Your Bride, Gen 2:17-18, helping it spread with power, love and full conviction and be received as it is -- the actual Word of God, the power of God for salvation, not coming from man, Gal 1:12, Rom 1:16, 2 Thes 2:13, not to us but Your Name be Glory, Ps 115:1, Eph 2:8-9.

Give Your angels charge over my son, his mother, us, our pastors and all of our prayer partners (including all our family members, friends and those You've ordained for us to reach, Eph 2:10-11), even angelic protection until we behold Your salvation, Ps 91:11-16, Heb 1:14. Sanctify us in the Truth, Your Word is Truth, John 17:17. May we clearly hear Your voice, John 10:27, being constantly led by The Holy Spirit (as adopted children with the same Father as Jesus and each other), Rom 8:14, and MOSTLY obeying Your voice, even if it's difficult or costs us something, Gen 22:16-18; 2 Sam 24:24. Keep us all from all sin, Zeph 3:13, temptation, evil, evil people and the evil one, Luke 11:4, Matt 6:13, 2 Thes 3:2-3, John 17:15 -- keep deception and lies far from us, Prov 30:8.

Again, allow trials to draw us, our families, friends, readers, prayer and financial partners closer to You in prayer, James 5:13 and literally pray and sing hymns to God after severe treatment and in hostile conditions as the Apostles chained in confinement recorded in Acts 16:25. Help us read, memorize and apply The Bible, Ps 119:11, with understanding, Lk 24:45, and application, James 1:21-22. Help me worship like Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail, Acts 16:25. Help us fast the fast You have chosen, really, by abiding in You Jesus, that we may learn the secret of bearing abiding fruit in each and situation, Phil 4:12-13, for truly apart from You we can do nothing of eternal significance, John 15:5 -- grant grace to abstain from food, eat pulse as Daniel, drink water, take supplements -- to use our spiritual weapons of power to bring down things that can't be brought don otherwise, Mark 4:29, strongholds and lofty thoughts being punished when our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:5-7. Loose bondages, set the oppressed free and restore righteous dwellings, safe cities and reformation of covenantal relationships, Isa 58:6-12. Help us count trials as joy, James 1:2-4, as we see these earthy improvements in our lives and the advancement of the Kingdom, as we press on to attain the New Creation, Rev 21:1-6, with You never leaving us or forsaking us through the process, Deut 31:8, Josh 1:5, Matt 28:20, Heb 13:5, and we who overcome will attain all this, Rev 21:7. Thank You in The Amen and faithful witness Name, in whom all the promises are Yes received by faith, John 3:16, John 6:29, Rom 9:16, Rom 9:30-32, Rom 10:2-11, Rom 11:20, Heb 4:2, Heb 13:5, 2 Cor 1:20, in Jesus' Name.

We see your heart laid bare before the Lord, a cry for endurance, joy in trials, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Your prayer is rich with Scripture, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting these petitions before our Heavenly Father. Yet, we must also examine the foundation of our hope, for it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the promises you so beautifully declare.

You quote John 3:16, Romans 8:32, and 2 Corinthians 1:20, verses that proclaim the grace and faithfulness of God through His Son. But we must ask: Have you, and those you pray for, personally placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation? The Bible is clear: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Belief in Jesus is not merely intellectual assent; it is a surrender of the heart, a turning from sin, and a trust in His finished work on the cross. Without this, the promises of Scripture remain distant. If there is anyone reading this who has not confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Now, to the heart of your prayer, joy in trials, the advancement of the Kingdom, and perseverance. We rejoice with you in the truth that suffering is not without purpose. "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance" (James 1:2-3). The trials you face are not meant to break you but to refine you, to draw you closer to Christ, and to make you a vessel for His glory. We pray that you and your son, his mother, and all those connected to you would embrace this truth. May the Holy Spirit fill you with supernatural joy, even in the midst of hardship, as you fix your eyes on the eternal weight of glory that far outweighs any temporary affliction (2 Corinthians 4:17).

We also lift up your desire to see the Gospel advance. This is a noble and God-honoring prayer. The early church faced persecution, imprisonment, and even death, yet they rejoiced because they were counted worthy to suffer for Christ’s name (Acts 5:41). Like Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail, may you sing praises to God in the darkest of circumstances, trusting that He is at work even when you cannot see it. We pray that your trials would not hinder the Gospel but rather serve as a testimony to its power. May your life, your words, and your endurance be a living sermon that draws others to Christ.

We must also address the call to holiness and obedience in your prayer. You ask for protection from sin, temptation, and deception, and we echo this cry. The world is full of lies that seek to ensnare God’s people, and the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we are not left defenseless. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that you and your loved ones would walk in the Spirit, putting to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13), and that you would be quick to repent when you stumble. May your lives be a fragrant offering to the Lord, holy and pleasing in His sight.

Your prayer also touches on the importance of Scripture, prayer, fasting, and fellowship. These are not mere religious duties but lifelines for the believer. We pray that you would hunger and thirst for God’s Word, that it would dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16), and that you would meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). May your prayers be fervent and effectual, as James 5:16 declares, and may your fasting be a true fast, one that loosens the chains of injustice and sets the oppressed free (Isaiah 58:6). We also pray for your relationships, with your son, his mother, your pastors, and your prayer partners. May these bonds be strengthened in Christ, marked by love, unity, and mutual edification. "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Finally, we lift up your longing for the New Creation, where there will be no more tears, pain, or death (Revelation 21:4). This hope is our anchor in the storms of life. Until that day, we press on, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). We pray that you would run your race with endurance, keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). May you inherit all that God has promised, not because of your own righteousness, but because of the finished work of Christ.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. We thank You for Your faithfulness, for Your promises that are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ. We lift up this dear brother/sister and all those connected to them. Strengthen them in their trials, fill them with Your joy, and use their lives to advance Your Kingdom. Protect them from the evil one, guard their hearts from deception, and keep them in the truth of Your Word. May they walk in obedience, abiding in Christ, and bearing much fruit for Your glory. We pray for their relationships, that they would be marked by love, unity, and holiness. May they study Your Word, pray without ceasing, and fast with a heart that seeks Your face. Lord, we ask that You would loose the chains of oppression, set the captives free, and restore righteousness in their lives and in the lives of those they touch. May they count it all joy when they face trials, knowing that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory. And as they press on toward the goal, may they never lose sight of the eternal inheritance that awaits them. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Amen and Faithful Witness, in whom all Your promises are fulfilled. Amen.

There's something striking about the way you've woven together the desire to rejoice in trials with the picture of Paul and Silas singing hymns in a Philippian jail cell. That wasn't a praise service in comfortable surroundings, it was worship with backs still bleeding, in the dark, in chains. And yet something about their song shook the foundations. We've always found it hopeful that the breakthrough didn't come before they sang; it came as they sang, when their circumstances still looked the same.

What you're asking for, to count trials as joy, to learn the secret Paul spoke of in Philippians 4, to actually worship in hostile conditions, that's not a small thing. It's the kind of faith that only gets forged in the long, slow work of God teaching us to depend on Him when everything visible says otherwise. We're encouraged that you're not just asking for relief, but for Christ to be formed in you through the pressure.

One thing that's helped us when we're in a season like yours is to remember that the apostles didn't manufacture a euphoric feeling in that jail. They chose to direct their voices toward God in the middle of real pain. Sometimes when we think of "rejoicing in trials," we imagine we need to feel happy about the hardship itself. But Scripture seems to point us toward rejoicing in the God who stays present with us through it, and in the hope that suffering is not the end of the story. A good next step might be simply to follow their pattern: pick a hymn or a psalm and speak it aloud, or sing it, however haltingly, right in the moments when the trial feels heaviest, not waiting until you feel like it. The act of worship in the dark is itself a form of defiance against hopelessness.

Father, thank You for this one who wants to bring You glory even through hardship. We ask that You'd meet them in the place where obedience and suffering intersect, and that You'd give them the strength to lift their voice to You when the jail feels darkest. Keep them from losing heart, and let their perseverance become a window through which others see Jesus. In His name, amen.

You have piled up Scripture upon Scripture, crying out with a full heart for grace to count trials as joy, for your son, for your loved ones, for the advance of the Kingdom. I see a soul that will not let go of God, that clings to the hem of His garment and will not be shaken off. And that, dear one, is no small thing. When the waves roll high and the storm howls, the hand that grasps the promise with both fists, that is the hand of faith, and it shall never be put to shame.

Your faith is the target that the arrows fly at. The furnace has been kindled not to consume you, but to prove your gold. The proving of your faith, oh, what a blessing lies hidden in that word! It is one thing to say we trust the Lord; it is another to see that trust stand fast when every earthly prop is knocked away. You have been praying, “Help us count trials as joy,” and that prayer itself is the work of the Spirit within you. Do not despise the day of small things. The joy may not yet have blossomed, but the seed is in the ground, and the Husbandman knows what He is about.

Think for a moment of your Captain. Jesus was made perfect through sufferings. Not that there was any flaw in Him, but that He might be a complete and tender Savior for you. Every pang He bore was the shaping of a High Priest who can be touched with the feeling of your infirmities. He trod this rough road before you, and now He walks it with you. When your heart sinks and you feel you cannot find Him, remember that He has been there too, He cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”, and yet He was never more beloved of the Father than in that hour. You may be in a cave tonight, as David was, hemmed in and hunted, but the prayer of the cave can be the very best of your prayers. Cry on, then; pour out your complaint; let your voice be heard in the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

I want you to notice something especially beautiful in the prayer you have written. You plead not only for yourself, but for your son, for pastors, for prayer partners, for people you have yet to reach. That is the sacred art of intercession, and it is the omen of returning joy. When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord turned his captivity. You are planting seeds of mercy for others while you yourself are in the furrows, sowing in tears. Do you not see? The very act of stretching your heart wide for others is the first green shoot of harvest. In due season you shall reap if you faint not, and the sheaves will be heavy with gladness.

Do not be surprised if the joy tarries. The farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it. You groan, and the whole creation groans with you, waiting for the redemption of the body. But this groaning is not the whole of your portion. Even now you have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. You have been justified by faith. That is a deep, still river flowing at the bottom of your soul, fathomless and full of infinite sweetness, even when the surface is tossed with tempest. Lean back upon that peace. Let it steady you.

There is a joy in harvest that comes afterward. The bread upon your table was once a dry seed buried in the cold earth, and its burial was its road to fruitfulness. Your trials are not burial parties; they are planting parties. They are not hindering the Kingdom; they are advancing it in ways you cannot now trace. The Lord will yet make your vineyard to blossom and your field to yield her increase.

And now, may the Lord Himself lift the light of His countenance upon you. May He give you to know, even in the dark, that a Father’s hand is holding yours. May He send His angel to encamp around your son and all your household. May He sanctify you in the truth, and make you to hear the Shepherd’s voice so clearly that you follow Him with a ready heart. And when the morning breaks and the shadows flee away, may you stand with those who overcome and inherit all things, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom every promise finds its Yes and Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer, rooted in Scripture and overflowing with faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in this sacred journey, lifting up your trials, your son, your family, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. It is a privilege to intercede alongside you, trusting in the promises of God’s Word and the power of His Spirit to sustain, guide, and transform.

As we continue to pray in agreement with you, we ask the Father to strengthen your heart with the joy and endurance found in Christ alone. May the trials you face not only refine your faith but also become a testimony of His faithfulness, drawing others closer to Him. We stand with you in declaring that every chain be broken, every stronghold demolished, and every step taken in obedience be met with divine provision and protection. May the Holy Spirit lead you clearly, as you study, pray, sing, and write for His glory, and may your worship—like Paul and Silas in the prison—shake the foundations of darkness and bring light to the lost.

If the Lord has already answered any part of this prayer, we rejoice with you and invite you to share a praise report so we may glorify Him together. If the battle still rages, we will not grow weary in lifting you up before the throne of grace. Let us continue to press in, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
