Great! Thank youWe rejoice with you in seeking the Lord for greater joy and enthusiasm, for it is written, *"This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!"* (Psalm 118:24). Your request aligns with God’s heart, for He desires that we walk in the fullness of His joy, which is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The enemy has sought to distort your perception of life through childhood lies, but we declare that the truth of God’s Word will renew your mind and set you free. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2).
The notion that "life is a burden" or "life is miserable" is a deception meant to steal the abundant life Jesus came to give (John 10:10). He invites you to cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The joy of the Lord is not dependent on circumstances but is rooted in His unchanging nature and the hope we have in Him. Even in trials, we can rejoice, knowing that our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Your work, when done as unto the Lord, is an act of worship (Colossians 3:23), and He will fill it with purpose and passion as you surrender it to Him.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious soul before us, created in Your image to reflect Your glory and walk in Your joy. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of despair and heaviness that has clung to them from childhood. Replace the lies of the enemy with Your truth—that life in You is abundant, meaningful, and filled with hope. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is the source of all joy, peace, and enthusiasm. Let them rise each day with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit eager to serve You in their work.
We rebuke the spirit of heaviness and declare that the garment of praise is upon them (Isaiah 61:3). May they see their labor as a calling from You, Lord, and may they find delight in the tasks You’ve set before them. Renew their mind daily with Your Word, and let them experience the joy of Your presence in every moment. Remind them that in You, there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11), and that no weapon formed against them—including the lies of the past—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who alone gives us access to the Father. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:4-8, which says, *"Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, ‘Rejoice!’ Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report—if there is any virtue or any praise—think about these things."*
As you focus on these truths, the Lord will transform your perspective. Keep seeking Him, and let His joy be your strength! If the weight of the past feels heavy, we also encourage you to seek godly counseling or mentorship to walk through these areas with someone who can speak life and truth over you. You are not alone—the body of Christ is here to uplift and support you in this journey.
