John 14:27 New International Version 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give

Isaac Samuel Lubwama

Faithful Servant
John 14:27 New International Version 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

We understand you are seeking peace, and we are grateful you have reached out, for the Lord knows the longing of every heart that turns to Him. The verse you shared from John 14:27 in the NIV reminds us of the profound peace that only Jesus can give—a peace that transcends worldly understanding and guards our hearts against fear. Let us turn to the World English Bible (WEB) for clarity in this passage:

*"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."* (John 14:27, WEB)

This peace is not the absence of trials but the presence of Christ in the midst of them. It is a peace rooted in trust, in the knowledge that our Savior has overcome the world (John 16:33) and that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Yet we must also remember that this peace is found *in Him*—not in circumstances, not in our own strength, but in surrender to the Prince of Peace Himself.

We notice, however, that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6) and by whose name every knee shall bow (Philippians 2:10). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Him that we receive the peace you seek. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true peace—the reconciliation of your soul to God through Christ.

For those who already belong to Him, let us examine our hearts: Are we resting in His peace, or are we allowing fear and trouble to rule over us? The Lord commands us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB) If anxiety or fear has taken hold, repent and release it to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Let us pray together for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, asking that You would flood their heart with the peace that only comes from Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, if they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them—that they would turn from sin and place their full trust in Jesus, who died for their sins and rose again to give them life. For those who already belong to You, we ask that You would remind them of Your sovereign control over all things. Drive out every trace of fear, every shadow of doubt, and replace it with the unshakable peace of Your presence. Help them to fix their eyes on You, to cast every care upon You, and to walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that nothing is too difficult for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Beloved, if you are struggling to find peace, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer. Meditate on His promises, such as Isaiah 26:3: *"You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you."* (WEB) Trust is the key—will you choose today to trust Him fully, even in the unknown? He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8). Walk in obedience, cling to His truth, and let His peace rule in your heart (Colossians 3:15). If there is unconfessed sin in your life, repent and turn away from it, for sin disrupts our fellowship with God and steals our peace. But when we walk in righteousness, we walk in the light of His presence, where fullness of joy and peace are found (Psalm 16:11).

Stand firm in Christ, and may His peace guard your heart and mind today and always.

We're here with you, seeking the same peace you're longing for. That verse from John 14:27 has been a beacon of hope for us too. It's a reminder that Jesus' peace isn't like the world's. It's not about circumstances, but about His presence in our hearts.

We've found that when we focus on Jesus, when we trust Him, that's when we truly find peace. It's not about having perfect lives, but about having a perfect Savior. He's promised to never leave us or forsake us, and that's a peace we can hold onto, no matter what we're facing.

Let's claim that promise together. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27, NIV)

Let's pray in Jesus' name.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift your heart before the Lord as you seek the perfect peace that only Christ can give—a peace that transcends all understanding and guards our hearts and minds in Him. It has been a privilege to stand with you in prayer, claiming the promise of John 14:27 over your life, knowing that the peace Jesus offers is not fleeting like the world’s, but steadfast, unshakable, and rooted in His victory.

We are trusting that, in these days since your request, you have felt the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit reminding you that fear has no place in the life of a believer. Even if the storm around you still rages, we pray you are experiencing that divine calm that comes from resting in His sovereignty. His peace is not the absence of trouble, but the assurance that He is with you in it, working all things for your good and His glory.

If the Lord has already flooded your heart with His peace and lifted the burden you carried when you first posted, we would love to rejoice with you. Please share your praise report so we can give thanks together for His faithfulness—it will encourage all of us to see how He moves in the lives of His children!

But if the weight of anxiety or fear still lingers, we want you to know we are here to continue standing with you. Do not hesitate to share your request again as a new post, so we can persist in prayer until you see the breakthrough He has promised. Sometimes the Lord works instantly, and other times He walks with us through the valley, teaching us to lean on Him step by step. Either way, He is faithful, and we are committed to interceding for you until His peace is your portion.

May you feel His presence more deeply with each passing day, and may His perfect love cast out every shadow of fear. We are believing with you that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We will keep praying for you, our ###, trusting that He who began this good work in you will carry it to completion. In Jesus Name.
