We come before You, the one true God, with hearts full of gratitude for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. Your Word reminds us in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." You are a God of restoration, and we trust in Your promise to redeem what has been lost or broken in our lives. In John 19:30, we are reminded of the finished work of Christ on the cross, where He declared, "It is finished." Through His sacrifice, we have access to Your grace, mercy, and eternal life.

Father, we lift up our gratitude for all that You have done and continue to do in our lives. We acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we give You praise for Your provision, protection, and presence. We ask that You bless this day and this week, filling it with Your glory and the fruit of Your Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We also come before You with a humble request for Your continued protection over us, our families, and our communities. Guard our hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, and keep us steadfast in Your truth. We pray for Your hedge of protection around us, just as You promise in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."

However, we must address a matter of reverence in how we approach You. While we appreciate the heart behind the words, we must gently correct the use of "Yaway" as a name for You. Your holy name is Yahweh, as revealed in Scripture, and it is sacred. In Exodus 3:15, You declare, "This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations." We honor You by using Your name with the reverence it deserves. Additionally, we approach You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follow us all the days of our lives. We praise You for the finished work of Jesus Christ, who made a way for us to come boldly before Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You bless this day and this week with Your presence. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in Your ways and reflect Your love to those around us.

Father, we pray for Your protection over us, both physically and spiritually. Shield us from the attacks of the enemy and keep our hearts pure and steadfast in You. Help us to trust in Your promises and to rest in the assurance of Your love. We ask that You guide our steps and order our days according to Your will.

Lord, we also pray for those who may not yet know You. Open their hearts to the truth of the Gospel and draw them to Yourself. Use us as vessels of Your love and light, that we may share the hope we have in Christ with those who are lost.

We commit this day and this week into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for our good. May Your name be glorified in all that we do. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

May you walk in the fullness of God’s blessings this week, knowing that He is with you always. Remember, as it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you into all truth and righteousness.

Good morning to you as well, and thank you for letting us share in this beautiful prayer. The way you begin your day, full of gratitude and hope for God’s glory, holding onto His restoration (Joel 2:25) and the finished work of Christ (John 19:30), is steadying. We’re truly blessed just reading it.

Your request for blessing and protection is something we can wholeheartedly lift up with you. In a world that can feel so shaky, simply turning our hearts toward God in trust is the most grounding thing we can do. We’ve found that when we start the day thanking Him and asking Him to be with us, it changes how we see everything else.

Since you’re already anchored in this kind of prayer, we’d simply encourage you to keep on. Maybe look for one small moment today where you see His glory in an unexpected place, and let that moment anchor you when the day gets busy. And if you ever feel that joy leak away, we’re here to pray with you again.

Father, thank You for this dear friend’s morning offering and for the confidence they place in You. Fill their day and week with so many glimpses of Your goodness that gratefulness overflows. Keep them safe, and help them rest in the truth that You are God on earth just as in heaven. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The glory of the Lord shall be your rereward and what that Glory shall be, what heart can imagine, what tongue can tell? The Glory that excels the glory of perfection! The Glory of being made like unto the First-Born among many brethren! But may we not believe that the Glory of the Lord, which brings up the rear, is the Lord Himself? After all, we cannot dissociate the Glory from the Glorious One! God Himself we must have if we would see His Glory!

Ah, the goodness of God is God's Glory. God's greatest Glory is that He is good! The brightest gem in the crown of God is His goodness! "I will make all My goodness pass before you." There is a panorama such as time would not be long enough for you to see! Consider the goodness of God in Creation. The world is His temple in which everything speaks of His Glory! Some glimpses of His goodness may be perceived in Providence, too. The history of man is the unrolling of the volume of Divine Benevolence to a great extent. That silver thread runs through all the web of human history.

You observe here, that while God's goodness is His Glory, the very glory of His goodness lies in His Sovereignty. What less than this can be meant by the sentence, "I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy to whom I will show mercy." Put the two together, goodness and Sovereignty, and you see God's Glory! If you take Sovereignty alone, you will not understand God. When Moses said, "I beseech You, show me Your Glory," God made him see that He was glorious and that His Glory was His Sovereign goodness.

Sit in your seats and keep on blessing God from the first word of the sermon to the last. And then go on blessing God till the last hour of life and enter into Heaven into the eternal Glory, still blessing God! It should be our life to bless Him who gave us our life. Praise Him, also, in your speech. Break the silence, speak of His Glory! It is an earnest endeavor of a burning heart to lay at God's feet crowns of glory which it cannot find, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Now, in order to do this, we must maintain by God's grace a grateful, happy, praiseful frame of mind; and we must endeavour to express that condition of mind by songs of gratitude. This should be our morning's work. Should there not be the morning song? This should be the evening's work. Like manna, it must come fresh and fresh, and the blessing is that it does come fresh and fresh. Oh, for a wide mouth, then, to take in every conceivable blessing from Him! In our prayers, let us not ask according to the measure of our poor little heart that is so shriveled, cold and weak, but according to God's great heart that is infinite and full of Grace and love!

God is blessing His Church and He intends to bless it yet more. He has opened the windows of Heaven and He is pouring out the blessing so that we have not room enough to receive it! Expect the blessing! It is coming! It is coming! Such a sight of God's Glory will make it impossible for a single note of praise to be given to yourselves, but all the Glory, all the Glory shall be to His rich, all-conquering, Sovereign Grace! Now, can you believe this? Can you trust Jesus Christ, alone, to utterly save you?
