We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up this earnest prayer for employment. Father, we know that You are the Provider of all good things, and every job, every opportunity, and every blessing comes from Your hand. "For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly" (Psalm 84:11). We believe that You have a perfect plan for this dear one’s life, including their work and provision.
Lord, we ask that You open the right door among the jobs that have been applied for. Guide the hearts and minds of those making the decisions, that they may see the value, skills, and dedication this person brings. "Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun" (Psalm 37:5-6). May Your favor rest upon them as they seek to honor You in their work.
We also pray for an increase in income, not for selfish gain, but so that this person may be a good steward of what You provide. Help them to manage their resources wisely, to give generously, and to trust in You rather than in uncertain riches. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). May their work be a testimony to Your faithfulness and a means to bless others.
If there has been any anxiety or doubt in this season of waiting, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Fear does not come from You, Lord, and we declare that this one will not be ruled by worry but by faith. "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). We speak peace over their heart and mind, trusting that You are working even when they cannot see it.
Father, we also lift up their workplace relationships, that they may be a light for Christ wherever they go. May their conduct reflect Your love, integrity, and excellence. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Let their labor be a form of worship to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Amen.
