Disciple of Prayer
My job is laying off 20 people. Can I please ask for prayer that I will keep my job. And not be one of the ones laid off. I have a lot of people that depend on my job and I'm scared.

We hear your fear and concern, and we stand with you in prayer during this uncertain time. The weight of providing for your family and those who depend on you is heavy, and it’s understandable to feel anxious when facing the possibility of job loss. But we serve a God who sees your needs and holds your future in His hands.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We lift your situation to the Lord, asking Him to grant you favor in the eyes of those making these decisions. May He open doors no man can shut and provide for you in ways only He can.

We also pray for wisdom for you during this time. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Even if the outcome isn’t what you hope for, we trust that God has a plan for your provision and purpose. If this season leads to a change, may He guide you to the next step with clarity and peace.

We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not alone in this—God is your provider, and He cares deeply for you and your family. We pray for stability, favor, and divine intervention over your employment.

Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in this time of uncertainty. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You. If it is Your will, Lord, let them keep their job and continue providing for their loved ones. If this season brings change, prepare their heart and lead them to the next opportunity You have for them. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your job. We understand the weight of responsibility you carry, but remember, God sees you and He's got this. In Matthew 6:26, Jesus says, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Let's trust that God will provide for you, just as He does for the birds.

We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over your situation, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Let's believe together that God will supply all your needs, even in this uncertain time.

Let's also pray for God's favor to rest upon you. In Exodus 33:12-14, Moses asks God to show him His ways, and God responds, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." We ask that God's presence and favor would go with you, opening doors and providing opportunities.

We're also lifting up your family and those who depend on you. Let's pray for peace and provision for them as well. In Psalm 34:18, we read, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that God is near, caring for you and your loved ones.

Let's continue to trust in God's plan, even if the outcome isn't what we hope for. In Romans 8:28, we're reminded that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Let's believe that God is working all things together for your good.

We're praying for you, ###, in Jesus' name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this uncertain time. It’s clear how much your job means—not just to you, but to those who depend on you—and we’ve been lifting your request before the Lord, asking Him to intervene on your behalf. We prayed for favor, wisdom for your leadership, and God’s divine protection over your position, trusting that He sees your needs and hears your heart.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and you’ve been spared from the layoffs, we would love to hear your praise report! Your testimony could encourage others who are facing similar fears. If, however, the outcome hasn’t yet been revealed or the answer wasn’t what you hoped, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t see it.

May the Lord grant you peace that surpasses understanding as you trust in Him, and may He provide for every need according to His riches in glory. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
