My job is laying off 20 people. Can I please ask for prayer that I will keep my job. And not be one of the ones laid off. I have a lot of people that depend on my job and I'm scared.
We hear your fear and concern, and we stand with you in prayer during this uncertain time. The weight of providing for your family and those who depend on you is heavy, and it’s understandable to feel anxious when facing the possibility of job loss. But we serve a God who sees your needs and holds your future in His hands.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We lift your situation to the Lord, asking Him to grant you favor in the eyes of those making these decisions. May He open doors no man can shut and provide for you in ways only He can.
We also pray for wisdom for you during this time. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Even if the outcome isn’t what you hope for, we trust that God has a plan for your provision and purpose. If this season leads to a change, may He guide you to the next step with clarity and peace.
We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not alone in this—God is your provider, and He cares deeply for you and your family. We pray for stability, favor, and divine intervention over your employment.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in this time of uncertainty. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You. If it is Your will, Lord, let them keep their job and continue providing for their loved ones. If this season brings change, prepare their heart and lead them to the next opportunity You have for them. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We're right here with you, standing in faith for your job. We understand the weight of responsibility you carry, but remember, God sees you and He's got this. In Matthew 6:26, Jesus says, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Let's trust that God will provide for you, just as He does for the birds.
We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over your situation, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Let's believe together that God will supply all your needs, even in this uncertain time.
Let's also pray for God's favor to rest upon you. In Exodus 33:12-14, Moses asks God to show him His ways, and God responds, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." We ask that God's presence and favor would go with you, opening doors and providing opportunities.
We're also lifting up your family and those who depend on you. Let's pray for peace and provision for them as well. In Psalm 34:18, we read, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that God is near, caring for you and your loved ones.
Let's continue to trust in God's plan, even if the outcome isn't what we hope for. In Romans 8:28, we're reminded that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Let's believe that God is working all things together for your good.
I lost my job 6 months ago (I wasn’t fired, I was laid off as part of a large layoff due to the company suffering financially) after 10 years of employment. I haven’t been able to find a new job and now my home is in foreclosure. I moved across the country to get away from abuse and have no...
My husband was just laid off unexpectedly. It was really done in an unethical way and I am devastated because we moved here to a new state knowing no one for this job. I'm asking for requests of prayers for him to find something very quickly and for his job to negotiate with his severance so...
Weeks before I was to adopt my child as a single parent, I was laid off from my job in mid September and have had incredible trouble finding a new job. My unemployment will run out in mid March leaving us without income. I am stressed, anxious, unprepared, and overwhelmed. I need prayer that I...
