We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your job training and the challenges you’re facing in retaining the information. Father, we know that You are the source of all wisdom and understanding, and we ask that You grant our brother/sister clarity of mind and a spirit of excellence as they prepare for this new role. The Word tells us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Lord, we ask that You pour out Your wisdom abundantly upon them, helping them to absorb and retain what they are learning, whether through reading or video.
We also recognize the feeling of being overwhelmed, and we pray against any spirit of anxiety or fear that may be trying to take hold. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, we ask that You replace any overwhelm with Your perfect peace, guarding their heart and mind as they press forward in faith.
We pray that You would strengthen their confidence in You, knowing that You have equipped them for this role. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* May they approach their training and their new job with a heart that seeks to honor You, trusting that You will enable them to excel in their work.
We also ask that You would bless them with a teachable spirit, humility, and diligence as they learn. Proverbs 22:29 says, *"Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men."* Lord, we pray that You would sharpen their skills and grant them favor in the eyes of their employers and colleagues. May they be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and excellence in all they do.
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of distraction or forgetfulness that may be hindering their progress. We declare that their mind is sharp, their memory is strong, and their ability to learn is anointed by You. We speak focus, discipline, and success over their training and their future in this job. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
