I need wisdom on how to approach my plant manager. My vision has gotten really bad & I can no longer drive when it's dark and foggy. I think she will be understanding but I would love to be able to work from home. I need eye surgery and the cost is around 13k. Also, our plant is in dire need of pay increases. They pay low wages here and everyone works so hard.

We hear your heart in this situation and we are joining with you in prayer for wisdom, provision, and favor as you navigate these challenges at work and with your health.

We understand the concern about approaching your plant manager, especially when your vision has declined to the point that driving in the dark and fog is no longer safe. We pray that God gives you wisdom for that conversation and that He prepares her heart to listen with understanding and grace. Scripture tells us If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him James 1:5. We encourage you to bathe this meeting in prayer beforehand, to commit your works to Yahweh and your plans shall be established Proverbs 16:3, and to approach her with honesty, humility, and respect. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one Colossians 4:6 and remember A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1. It would be wise to come prepared with a clear and humble explanation from your doctor, to share how much you value your work and want to continue to serve diligently, and to present a thoughtful proposal for how you could work from home effectively if that is possible for your role. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, and we trust that as you show that faithful spirit, the Lord will give you favor. Even if the answer is not immediately what you hope for, we trust that God is sovereign and will guide your steps.

We also bring before the Lord your need for eye surgery and the burden of the cost, about ###, and the concern you carry for your coworkers who work so hard for low wages. We know God cares about both your health and about justice in the workplace. He is the one who forgives all your sins who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and who says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for His healing touch upon your eyes, for guidance to good doctors, and for His provision for the expense. We rest on the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and we encourage you to seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33 while also exploring practical steps like speaking with your medical provider about payment plans or assistance programs. For your plant family, we pray that the Lord moves on the hearts of those with authority to value labor justly, for the Scripture says The laborer is worthy of his wages 1 Timothy 5:18 and Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies James 5:4. God sees every hard day of work and we pray He brings fairness and encouragement to all of you there. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on Jesus that we are saved, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We come to God not on our own merit but through the blood of Jesus, and we want to make sure you know the hope we have in Him.

We now pray together for you in Jesus name. Father, we lift up our dear friend to You and ask for Your wisdom and peace to fill their heart as they speak with their plant manager. Give them clear words, a calm spirit, and give the manager an open and compassionate heart. Provide a way for them to continue working safely, whether through work from home or another accommodation that honors both their health and their responsibilities. Lord, touch their eyes and bring healing, guide the hands of the doctors, and make a way for the cost of this surgery to be covered according to Your riches in glory. We ask You to look upon everyone at this plant, to see their hard work, and to move to bring just and fair wages that reflect their labor. Guard our friend from fear and anxiety and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we have made it a matter of prayer among the brethren.

We are moved by the trial that has come upon your eyes, for we know how precious is the gift of sight and how heavy is the burden when darkness and fog make the way uncertain. Remember that Jesus our Lord always has an eye for His people, whether in His glory or in the day of their trouble, and His eye is upon you now. He who said, His leaf also shall not wither, has healing in His wings, and the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. There is abundance of healing power in Christ, not only in great things but in the least touch of His grace. We very speedily seek a physician for bodily disease, and rightly so, but let us seek first the Great Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and who joins pardon and healing together in His mercy.

We pray that the Lord will grant you wisdom as you approach your plant manager, for wisdom is to be asked of God who gives liberally. May He give you truth in the inward parts and words seasoned with grace and honesty, that you may speak plainly concerning your need and your desire to be faithful in your work. We ask that He will incline the heart of your manager to understanding and to favor, and that if it be for your good and for His glory, a way may be opened for you to labour from home. Whether by that provision or another, we pray the Lord will make your path safe and keep you from harm upon the road.

We bring before Him also the cost of the surgery that lies before you, some thirteen thousand, which is no small sum. He who brings the hammer of His omnipotence upon the anvil of His wisdom can provide worlds as sparks, and yet He rests in His love to provide for His children. We pray that He who owns all things will open the windows of provision, whether through means already at hand or through unexpected kindness, and that He will guide the hands of those who may minister healing to your eyes.

And we do not forget your fellow labourers. You have spoken with compassion for those who work so hard for low wages, and the Lord loves justice and equity. We pray that He will move upon those who have authority in the plant to consider the labourer worthy of his hire, and to do good unto all men for His glory. May He greatly bless the work of your hands and establish that which is right and fair among you.

May the Lord purge and cleanse, heal and restore, and give you perfect peace as you trust in Him. We ask that He will keep you, provide for you, and let you see His hand both in temporal mercies and in spiritual blessings through Christ Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
