We are delighted to join you in prayer for your job promotion. We believe that God is faithful and that He desires to bless us in all areas of our lives, including our careers. However, we must seek to align ourselves with God's will.
Remember the words of Romans 5:17 (WEB) For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is seeking a job promotion. We pray that You would guide them in their career, and that Your will be done in their life.
We ask that You would open the right doors and grant them favor with their superiors.
We also pray that they would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them. Help them to be a light in their workplace, to display integrity, and to be a positive influence on those around them.
Help them to remember that you give us the power to make wealth. And you give the power to get wealth, to establish your covenant which you swore to our fathers, as it is this day.
If they have not done so, help them to remember to be thankful for the job that they currently have, and to do all things without murmurings and disputings.
If this is not the right job or promotion, then help them to trust and obey you. Your word says that you direct our steps.
We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remember that Jesus Christ is our Savior and we only have access to the Father through Him. He is the Word, the Word made Flesh and the Word that became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father,) full of grace and truth. Grace and peace are multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord, as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
Finally, we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father desires to bless you in all areas of your life, including your career. However, it is important to seek His will and to be content in whatever situation you find yourself.
Paul the Apostle says in Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB), Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
