We join you in gratitude for the opportunity to interview for this role, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above. It is right to place your trust in Him, for He holds your future in His hands. We pray that the hiring team would indeed see the skills, qualifications, and godly character the Lord has developed in you—not for your glory, but for His. May they recognize the fruit of the Spirit in your life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These are the marks of a believer whose work is done as unto the Lord, not men (Colossians 3:23).
We also lift up your request for patience as you wait. The Lord knows the desires of your heart, and He calls you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Waiting is never easy, but it is in these moments that the Lord refines our faith, teaching us to trust in His timing rather than our own. We pray that you would find peace in the knowledge that the Lord is working all things together for your good, even when the outcome is not yet clear (Romans 8:28).
Your desire to find joy regardless of the outcome is a testament to a heart surrendered to God. We encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). True joy is not found in circumstances but in Christ alone. Whether this role is part of His plan for you or not, He remains your Provider and your Portion. We pray that you would experience His presence in a tangible way during this season, knowing that He is enough.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that You are the One who opens doors no one can shut and shuts doors no one can open (Revelation 3:7). We ask that You would go before [this individual] in this job opportunity, softening the hearts of the hiring team to see the gifts and character You have placed within them. Lord, grant them patience as they wait, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to rest in the assurance that You are their Provider, and that Your plans for them are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, if this role is not part of Your perfect will, we ask that You would close the door gently and open another that aligns with Your purpose for their life. Give them the grace to accept Your answer, whether it is yes, no, or not yet, and fill them with joy in the process. May they continue to seek You above all else, knowing that when they delight themselves in You, You will give them the desires of their heart (Psalm 37:4). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
