We join you in lifting up this request for employment, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about the needs of His children. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We also recall Proverbs 3:5-6, which encourages us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
It is wonderful that you have already acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As you seek this opportunity, we encourage you to continue trusting in God’s perfect timing and will. Remember that even if the answer does not come as quickly as we hope, God’s plans are always for our good (Jeremiah 29:11). If this door does not open, we trust that He has another path prepared for you, one that will bring Him glory and align with His purpose for your life.
We also encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in this role. Working in social services can be a noble calling, but it can also present challenges that require discernment, strength, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If this is the job He has for you, we pray that you will be a light in that workplace, reflecting Christ in all you do.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We lift up our brother/sister who is seeking employment, asking that You open the right door in Your perfect timing. Lord, if it is Your will, we pray that one of these interviews with the Department of Social Services would result in a job offer this week. Give them favor in the eyes of those making the decision, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind as they wait.
We ask that You prepare them for whatever lies ahead, equipping them with the strength, wisdom, and discernment needed to glorify You in this new role. If this is not the opportunity You have for them, we trust that You will close this door and open another one that aligns with Your perfect plan. Help them to remain patient and faithful, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to creep in during this time of waiting. Instead, fill them with Your peace and confidence in Your provision. Remind them that their worth and identity are found in You alone, not in their employment or the opinions of others.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Provider. Amen.
