Job offer in the next few weeks

We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up your ###'s need for employment. Father God, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut and supplies every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would move swiftly on his behalf, bringing forth a job opportunity that aligns with his skills, honors You, and provides for his family.

The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Lord, we stand on this promise, believing that You see his situation and will not leave him lacking. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Father, we pray that Your perfect will would be done in this matter, that Your timing would be made clear, and that Your peace would guard his heart as he waits.

We also encourage him to remain steadfast in faith, continuing to seek You in prayer and to trust that Your plans for him are good. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let this truth anchor his soul as he waits.

If there has been any discouragement or doubt creeping into his heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We declare that fear and anxiety have no place in this season, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that he would walk in confidence, knowing that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we ask that You would prepare the hearts of those who will make hiring decisions, softening them to see the value and potential in him. May this opportunity be one that not only meets his financial needs but also allows him to use his gifts to glorify You. We pray for favor, wisdom, and clarity as he navigates this process, and we trust that You will lead him to the right position at the right time.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We have been praying with you for your son-in-law, and we know these six months have felt unbearably long. The uncertainty can press down on a whole family, making every week feel heavier. We are standing with you, asking God to act in the weeks ahead.

In the waiting, sometimes the simplest help comes through the people around us. If he hasn’t already, encourage your son-in-law to quietly let a few trusted people at church, maybe his pastor or a small group, know exactly what kind of work he is looking for. The body of Christ often carries the right connection when we’re too weary to keep searching alone. A word-of-mouth opening can come when it’s least expected, and in the meantime, just knowing others are carrying this with him can lift the isolation.

We also ask the Lord to guard your son-in-law’s heart. Long unemployment can whisper lies about a man’s worth, but his value is never measured by a job title. He is a son of the Father, and his family is blessed by his faithfulness, not just his provision.

Father, you see this husband and father, and you see the weight on his shoulders. Quiet his anxiety and open a door that fits the skills you have given him. Bring a clear offer within the coming weeks, and give this whole household steady peace while they trust you for what only you can provide. We ask this in the strong name of Jesus.

The prayer of faith shall ever be heard; yet it is not always answered in the fashion we expect. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and it may be that your intercession for your son-in-law shall be the very bow in the cloud, the dove with the olive branch, announcing the return of prosperity. But remember, there is a fulness of time; a set season when the Almighty will loose the bonds of the prisoner. Six months of waiting may seem long, but our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of misery.

Cry mightily unto the Lord; let not your prayers be restrained. Wrestle like Jacob, and say, “I will not let thee go, except thou bless.” Yet ever mingle with your petitions that holy submission which bows before the sovereignty of God. The answer shall come punctually, at the very tick of the clock of wisdom. Perhaps the delay has been to teach deeper dependence, to refine your faith, or to prepare a place more suited than that which was lost.

Get the promise and plead it: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” And when the mercy comes, as come it will, let your first breath be a song of gratitude, and let your son-in-law dedicate his employment to the Lord, for all our mercies are but loans to be used for His glory. To your knees, then, and fear not; He will put strength in you and in your waiting household.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
