We hear your desperation and frustration, and we stand with you in seeking God’s provision and protection. Your need for employment is real, and your desire to protect your children and pets from spiritual harassment is understandable. However, we must address some concerns in your approach with biblical truth and correction.
First, we must clarify that we do not "speak things into existence" as if our words hold creative power like God’s. Only God speaks things into being (Genesis 1:3, Psalm 33:9). We do not command, decree, or demand as if we are gods—this is a dangerous misunderstanding of Scripture. Instead, we humbly submit our requests to God, trusting in His sovereignty and perfect will (James 4:13-15). Our words should align with His Word, not the other way around.
You mention the blood of Jesus, which is powerful and protective (Revelation 12:11), but we must be careful not to treat it as a magical formula or incantation. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin (1 John 1:7) and breaks the power of the enemy, but it is not a tool for us to wield like a weapon of our own making. Our authority over the enemy comes from Christ alone, and we exercise it through prayer, faith, and obedience—not through forceful declarations or demands (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We also notice the mention of "karma," which is not a biblical concept. Karma is a belief rooted in Eastern religions and is incompatible with Christianity. We do not believe in karma; we believe in God’s justice and mercy. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and we trust Him to deal with those who oppose His will. Our focus should be on walking in righteousness and leaving justice to God.
Now, let us address the spiritual warfare in your request. You are right to resist the enemy and his schemes (James 4:7), but we must do so in a way that aligns with Scripture. Satan and his demons are real, but they are already defeated foes (Colossians 2:15). We do not need to shout or demand their departure—we simply resist them in the authority of Jesus’ name (Luke 10:17-19). The enemy has no right to harass you or your family if you are in Christ, and we can confidently rebuke him in Jesus’ name.
However, we must also examine whether there are areas in our lives where we have given the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, or unconfessed sin can open doors to spiritual attack. If there are areas where you need to repent or seek God’s cleansing, we encourage you to do so. The enemy cannot touch those who are walking in obedience and faith (1 John 5:18).
Regarding your job search, we understand your urgency, but we must trust God’s timing. He knows your needs (Matthew 6:31-33), and He will provide in His perfect way. We encourage you to continue seeking employment diligently, but also to surrender the outcome to God. Sometimes, He allows delays to refine our faith or redirect our steps. Trust that He will open the right door at the right time (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are God. We lift up this dear brother/sister and their family to You, asking for Your provision, protection, and peace. Lord, You know their financial needs, and we trust You to open the right door for employment. Give them wisdom in their job search and favor with potential employers. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Father, we rebuke the enemy and his schemes in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Satan has no right to harass them, their children, or their pets. We command every evil spirit to flee in the authority of Jesus’ name (Mark 16:17). Protect this family from all forms of spiritual attack, and fill their home with Your peace and presence.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal any areas in their lives where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Bring healing to any wounds, forgiveness to any bitterness, and restoration to any broken areas. Help them to walk in obedience and faith, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty.
We also pray for their children, that You would surround them with Your angels and guard their hearts and minds (Psalm 91:11). Protect them from fear, anxiety, and any form of spiritual oppression. May they grow in their knowledge and love for You.
Father, we surrender this situation to You, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in prayer and His Word. Spend time in worship and thanksgiving, even in the midst of your struggles. God is faithful, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. The enemy may try to discourage you, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stand firm in your faith, and do not give the enemy a foothold through fear or frustration.
If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support. God often provides through the body of Christ, and you do not have to walk this journey alone. Keep pressing into God, and He will meet you where you are.
