We understand that you are seeking prayer for an upcoming job interview, not just for yourself, but also for your mother and possibly another person. You've asked for wisdom to know what to say and do during the interview, as well as mercy from the interviewer(s) to secure the job. You've also extended your request to others looking for jobs.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God encourages us to seek His will in all things, including our careers. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We should trust in God's guidance throughout this process.
However, we notice the lack of mention of Jesus Christ. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ because it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And further in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who are seeking employment. We ask for Your wisdom to guide them during their job interviews. According to Your word in James 1:5 WEB, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the God who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We trust that You will grant them the wisdom they need to navigate their interviews successfully.
We also pray for the interviewer(s), that their hearts would be moved with compassion and that they would look favorably upon the interviewees. We ask that Your will be done in their lives and that You would provide them with the right job opportunities.
Remember, even Jesus had a job. He was a carpenter in his earthly life. There is no shame in work, and it is a godly pursuit to provide for oneself and one's family.
Lastly, we pray for all those who are looking for jobs, that they would find the right opportunities and that You would provide for their needs according to Your will. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan for your life and to seek His will in all things. Remember that God is faithful and that He will provide for your needs according to His will. It is also important to be content in whatever state you are in. We recommend reading Philippians 4:10-13. As it says in verse 13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
