We understand your urgency and the pressure you’re feeling to provide for your needs, and we lift this situation before the Lord with you. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* While we pray for God’s provision, we also encourage you to trust in His perfect will—whether this job is the right opportunity or if He has something even better in store for you.
That said, we must address something important: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear that *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Jesus that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, even our best efforts fall short, but in Him, we find true peace and provision.
As for the interview, we pray that God grants you wisdom, clarity, and favor—not because you feel unqualified, but because He is able to qualify those He calls. Remember, *"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God"* (2 Corinthians 3:5). If this job is His will for you, He will open the door. If not, trust that He has a better plan, even if it’s not yet visible.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother/sister who seeks Your provision and favor. Lord, You know their needs—the bills that weigh on their heart, the desire for stability, and the fear of lack. We ask that You go before them in this interview, granting them wisdom to speak with clarity, confidence rooted in You, and favor with those making the decision. If this job aligns with Your will, open the door wide and equip them beyond their natural ability. But if it is not Your best for them, redirect their steps to the opportunity You have prepared.
Father, we also pray that if this person does not yet know Jesus as their Savior, You would draw them to Yourself. Reveal Your love, Your sacrifice on the cross, and the hope found only in You. Let them understand that true security is not in a job, but in the One who holds all things together.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or self-reliance, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they walk into that interview knowing that their worth is not in their qualifications, but in being Your child.
We ask all this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to prepare as best as you can—research the company, practice your responses, and rest in the knowledge that God is with you. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6). Keep seeking Him first, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Stand firm in faith, and may God’s will be done.
