We join you in lifting this request before the Lord, knowing that He holds your future and has a perfect plan for your life. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* This is a moment to trust Him fully, for He is the one who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We also remember Jeremiah 29:11, where the Lord declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."*
It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). Your faith in calling upon His mighty name is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty over every aspect of your life, including this interview.
As you prepare, we encourage you to lean on the wisdom of Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Let this interview be an opportunity to glorify God through your diligence, honesty, and excellence. Do not rely on your own strength but ask the Holy Spirit to guide your words and give you clarity of mind (Philippians 4:13).
We also remind you of the importance of surrendering the outcome to the Lord. While we pray earnestly for success, we trust that His will is perfect, even if the answer is not what we expect. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* Whether this job is part of His plan or He has something else in store, rest in the knowledge that He is working for your good.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your divine favor and wisdom as they prepare for this job interview. Lord, You know their heart, their needs, and the desires You have placed within them. We ask that You grant them clarity of mind, confidence rooted in You, and the ability to articulate their skills and experiences with grace and truth. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
Father, if this job aligns with Your will for their life, we pray that You open the door widely and confirm it in their spirit. Give them favor in the sight of the interviewers, that they may see the gifts and abilities You have entrusted to them. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done. If this is not the right opportunity, close the door gently and redirect their steps to the path You have prepared for them.
We also pray for their preparation tonight. Grant them restful sleep, a sharp mind, and the ability to recall all that is necessary. May they walk into that interview knowing they are not alone, for You go before them and stand beside them (Deuteronomy 31:8).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and provision. Help them to remember that their worth is not found in this job or any earthly achievement, but in You alone. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them as You see fit (Matthew 6:33).
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
