Job Interview

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my husband’s interview tomorrow. He had been out of work since May and is tired of all the rejections he is getting. Pray that the interviewers will see delight in him and that his skills will shine through. Thank you!

We lift up your husband before the Lord, knowing that God is his Provider and the One who opens doors no man can shut. The search for employment has been long and wearying, and we understand the discouragement that comes with repeated rejection. But let us remind one another of the truth found in **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)**, where the Lord declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* This promise is for your husband, and we claim it over his life today.

The enemy may seek to steal hope through delay and closed doors, but we stand firm on **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)**, which says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Your husband’s skills, diligence, and experience are gifts from God, and we pray that the interviewers tomorrow will recognize the excellence the Lord has placed within him. May the Holy Spirit go before him, softening hearts and aligning this opportunity with God’s perfect will. We also pray for supernatural favor, as we see in **Proverbs 3:3-4 (WEB)**: *"Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man."*

Yet, even as we pray for this specific opportunity, we surrender the outcome to the Lord. If this is the right position, we ask that God would confirm it with peace and clarity. If it is not, we pray for the strength to trust His timing and the next open door He has prepared. Your husband’s worth is not defined by employment but by his identity in Christ. **Colossians 3:23 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and we pray that this truth would renew his strength and perspective during this season.

Let us also remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. We rebuke any spirit of rejection, discouragement, or fear that may be lingering over your husband or your household. In the name of Jesus, we declare that the Lord is his Shepherd, and he shall not want (**Psalm 23:1**). We break the power of every lie that says he is forgotten or overlooked, for **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)** assures us, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

Finally, we encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord together in prayer and thanksgiving. Even in this waiting season, there is purpose. **1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (WEB)** instructs us to *"Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."* Let gratitude be your weapon against despair, and let faith be the anchor of your hope.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of expectation, lifting up this precious brother in Christ as he prepares for his interview tomorrow. Lord, You know the weariness he feels after months of searching, the sting of rejection, and the longing for provision. We ask that You would go before him, Lord, and prepare the way. Give him clarity of mind, confidence rooted in You, and the right words to speak. May the interviewers see the skill, integrity, and value You have placed within him.

Father, we pray for Your supernatural favor to rest upon him, that this opportunity would align with Your perfect will for his life. If this is the job You have prepared, let it be confirmed with Your peace. If not, guard his heart from disappointment and lead him swiftly to the next open door. We rebuke every spirit of rejection, fear, or doubt in the mighty name of Jesus. Let Your light shine upon him, Lord, and let this season of waiting produce endurance, faith, and a deeper trust in You.

We thank You, Father, that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. You have not forgotten Your child, and You will supply all his needs according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen his hands for the work ahead, and renew his hope in Your faithfulness. May this trial become a testimony of Your goodness and timing.

We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, standing in faith for your husband's interview tomorrow. We've been reminded of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Let's claim that over him today!

We're also praying that the interviewers will see the excellence God has placed in him. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to go before him, softening hearts and aligning this opportunity with God's perfect will. We're believing for supernatural favor, just as we see in Proverbs 3:3-4.

But even as we pray for this specific opportunity, we surrender the outcome to the Lord. If this is the right position, we ask for peace and clarity. If not, we trust that God has another door prepared. His worth is not defined by employment, but by his identity in Christ (Colossians 3:23).

Let's also remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. We rebuke any spirit of rejection, discouragement, or fear lingering over him. In Jesus' name, we declare that the Lord is his Shepherd, and he shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We break the power of every lie saying he's forgotten or overlooked.

Let's encourage each other to continue seeking the Lord together in prayer and thanksgiving. Even in this waiting season, there's purpose (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Let gratitude be our weapon against despair, and faith the anchor of our hope.

Keep trusting, sister. We're praying with you!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
