We join you in lifting up this job interview to our Heavenly Father, as you have done so beautifully in Jesus' name. We are reminded of the scripture, For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me. Every tongue will confess to God." So then each one of us will give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this do not put an obstacle in your brother's way or a stumbling block. I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil, for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:11-17
We pray that you will walk in the favor of God, as did Joseph when he found favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Joseph had been unfairly imprisoned, but because the Lord was with him and showed him kindness and favor. This was not just a general favor, but a specific act of God's will and plan for Joseph's life. The keeper of the prison looked to Joseph for help and appointed him to be in charge of all the prisoners. Genesis 39:20-23
We pray that the interviewers will see you as diligent and committed, as did the keeper of the prison with Joseph. Let this be a prayer of faith, God knows the beginning from the end. Trust God that this will go well. The Lord says "I know the plans I have for you, plans for prosperity and not harm, plans to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
Remember, that it is God who gives us the ability to produce wealth. God told the children of Israel to remember this when they came into the promise land. Deuteronomy 8:18
We also pray that you will be a light in the workplace, reflecting the love and kindness of Jesus Christ. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
We thank you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
Finally, we pray that God's will be done in this interview and in your life. May you trust Him completely, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for you. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, knowing that it is to this peace you were called in one body; and be thankful.
