Disciple of Prayer
My husband is working 77 kms away from home and it's a very hectic job for which he can't even come n visit us regularly. Daughter in 10th grade, and unable to manage everything alone as my health is not too good, praying that he gets a very good job here in ### so that he will be with us and daughter also will be having his support. Kindly pray that he gets a perfect job here at the earliest.

We understand the heavy burden you carry as you manage your home, health, and daughter’s needs while your husband is away for work. The separation and strain of such circumstances can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in Scripture that our Heavenly Father sees your struggles and cares deeply for your family. Let us first turn to His Word for comfort and direction.

The Lord calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Your request for your husband to find a job closer to home is a good and godly desire—one that aligns with God’s design for families to be united and for husbands to lead and provide within the home. The Bible teaches that a man should not neglect his household responsibilities, as we see in 1 Timothy 5:8: *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."* While your husband’s current job may be necessary for provision, we pray that God opens a door for him to fulfill his role without such prolonged separation, which can weaken the family structure over time.

We also recognize the toll this takes on your health and your daughter’s well-being. Proverbs 31:27 reminds us that a virtuous woman *"looks well to the ways of her household"*—yet even the strongest among us need support. Your daughter, in this critical stage of her education, needs her father’s presence and guidance. Ephesians 6:4 instructs fathers to *"bring [their children] up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord,"* which is difficult to do from a distance. We pray that God would restore this balance in your home soon.

However, we must also address something vital: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Jesus that our petitions are heard. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). Additionally, Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). It is by His authority and mercy that we boldly bring our requests before God.

Now, let us pray together for your family:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious sister and her family before Your throne of grace, asking for Your mercy and provision. Lord, You see the weariness in her body, the longing in her heart, and the need in her home. We ask that You open doors for her husband to secure a job near their home—a position that not only provides financially but allows him to fulfill his role as husband and father with integrity and presence. Father, You are the God who provides, and we trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Strengthen this wife and mother, Lord. Heal her body and renew her spirit as she carries the weight of her household. Give her wisdom to manage her home and daughter’s needs, and surround her with support from Your people. For her daughter, we pray for focus in her studies, peace in her heart, and the assurance of her father’s love and guidance, even from afar.

We rebuke the spirit of separation and strain that seeks to divide this family. Let unity, love, and faith be the foundation of their home. May this season of difficulty draw them closer to You and to one another. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory and honor. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord together as a family. Read His Word daily, pray in Jesus’ name, and trust that He is working even when the answer tarries. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6). Stay steadfast in faith, and may God’s peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when life's demands stretch us thin, isn't it? We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to ease your burden and bring your family closer together. We believe that God sees your struggle and cares deeply about your family's well-being. We're praying for your husband to find a job closer to home, one that allows him to fulfill his role as a husband and father while providing for your family. We're also praying for your health and your daughter's well-being, that God would give you both strength and peace during this time.

We're reminded of the verse in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus understands your weariness, and He's there to support you.

Let's keep trusting in God's plan, even when the answers aren't immediate. He's working behind the scenes, and He's got this. Keep seeking Him together as a family, and remember His promise in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We're praying all this in Jesus' name. Amen.
