Job hunting

Beloved of All
Pray for my ### to find a job that serves HIS purpose. He just graduated in Investment Banking relevant degree. Need God's favour and open door to HIS plan and close door to the enemies.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear brother who has recently graduated with a degree in Investment Banking. Father, we thank You for the wisdom and knowledge You have imparted to him through his studies. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust that You have a divine purpose for his life and career.

Lord, we ask for Your favor to rest upon him as he seeks employment. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not part of Your perfect plan. Guide his steps and lead him to the job that will not only provide for his needs but also serve Your greater purpose. We pray for opportunities that align with Your will, where he can use his skills and talents to glorify You.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says Yahweh, "plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB) We stand on this promise, believing that You have a hopeful future for him. Let him not grow weary in his search, but remind him daily that You are his provider and sustainer.

We also pray against any schemes of the enemy that may seek to discourage or distract him. Protect his mind from doubt and fear, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh. (Isaiah 54:17 WEB)

Lord, if there are any areas in his life that need alignment with Your Word, we ask for Your conviction and correction. Help him to walk in integrity, humility, and faith as he seeks Your will. Remind him that his worth is found in You alone, not in his career or worldly success.

We pray for patience and perseverance as he waits on You. May he seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add everything else he needs. "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB)

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for his life. Strengthen his faith, encourage his heart, and let him feel Your presence every step of the way. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your son as he steps out of school and into this next chapter. Graduating in investment banking takes real dedication, and we know there’s a mix of excitement and weight right now. The waiting can feel long, but God isn’t pacing heaven’s hallway, He’s already gone ahead, and He cares more about your son’s character and calling than any résumé line.

One grounded step that often helps graduates in high-stakes fields is to encourage him to seek out a few Christians already working in finance, not just to network for a job, but to learn how they navigate pressure, ethics, and discernment in that world. A short coffee meeting can open his eyes to opportunities he might miss and anchor him in wisdom beyond just career strategy. Even if no job comes from it immediately, those relationships can steady him spiritually as he waits.

It’s also worth reminding him (and yourself) that a closed door isn’t always the enemy, sometimes it’s God’s protection or redirection. Your prayer for God to close the door to the enemy is a good one, and we trust that He will guard your son from roles that would pull him away from his faith or lead him to compromise. In that spirit, let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this son and the gifts You’ve placed in him. We ask for Your favor to rest on his job search, open the doors You have prepared, and shut tightly the ones that would harm him or lead him away from Your purpose. Give him courage and patience in the waiting, and surround him with wise, faithful mentors who love You. Protect him from discouragement and from any scheme of the enemy. May he pursue Your kingdom first, trusting that every good provision comes from Your hand. In Your name we pray, amen.

We’re standing with you both.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Consider your son's present trial in the light of the eternal purpose. He is of one mind, and who can turn him? This season of waiting is not chance nor disorder, but the unfolding of a single, unchangeable design. What his soul desireth, that he doeth. There is no resistance that can thwart him. Does he not knock at the heart's door, and though we half open, then shut it in his face, yet still he remains of one mind? So too with the door of providence. He opens, and none shuts. The very degree, the investment banking path, these are threads in his purpose, and he will accomplish all that pleases him. Labor, therefore, in prayer and in active seeking, but rest in this: everything answereth the purpose of his own great mind.

In all this, see that he sins not, nor charges God foolishly. Let him not speak in an unworthy manner, nor give way to unbelieving speeches. It is a grace to be upheld, as Job was, saying nothing amiss either in thought or word. If he be as poor in prospects as Job was in estate, then let him be as patient, and hope shall shine as a star that never sets. God can support him, for the same divine support is promised. Do not purpose to shut yourself away or cease from acting, but let his restraint be not from despair, but from a quiet trust that in all this he does not sin.

Yet you have a testimony to bear. You have yet to speak on God's behalf. This is no time for silence. Plead with the Lord, setting forth his claims, and urge your son to accept God's gracious way. The door of his grace is always open when every other port is blocked. Run into that harbor which all the devils in hell cannot close. Instead of spending time fretting over human doors that may shut, deal directly with God himself. Words may fail, but tears melt their way into his heart, resting by faith upon the merits of the Redeemer.

Do not look to pry beyond what the Lord reveals. Have you seen the doors of the shadow of death? No, and you do not wish to. Between those iron bars we do not need to search. What the Lord discloses we learn from his Word. The joy of the dying saint has a simplicity that outshines the palaces of kings. So let your son trust the Lord with the unseen doors, both the opening and the closing. The negative answers, the shut doors from enemies, are as much a part of his government as the springs of the sea.

Remember, the door is a person. Christ says, "I am the door." There is only one door, not many. Our side of it is his gentle manhood; God's side is the splendor of his Godhead. You do not stand admiring the door or sitting on the doorstep. The purpose of a door is to enter. Point your son to enter by this door, by Christ, in his daily labor and need. Pray that he does not merely look at the door of God's favor and praise it from afar, but passes through it in living faith. For by Him, if any man enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture, yes, pasture even in the marketplace, a provision for all his soul's hunger and his earthly calling.

He may have heard of God for many years, but now comes the season of special manifestation. Eliphaz and Bildad and Zophar, with all their earthly counsel, must step aside; he must now look alone to God and honor him only. The hopelessness that creeps in, the sense of being left a prey, is not true. The Lord has never deserted any of his people. Though he now sit among the ashes of deferred hope, let him abhor himself and repent, for the Lord is about to reveal the skirts of his robe. After the trial, he shall say, "Now mine eye seeth thee." Favor will flow like a river. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin, and who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. The door is wide enough for the biggest sinner, and wide enough for your son's greatest need. Cry yet again, "I have yet to speak on God's behalf," and stand expecting the divine "You are my people" to be spoken over this very season.

The degree and the job are earthly things, and if you cast such cares upon the flame of the Spirit, you will quench it. The lamp of grace has an opening, the eye and the ear; suffer no violent blast of worldly ambition to fall upon them. The mouth is the door. If you open it constantly to speak of favors and doors and plans according to your own desire, you add force to a wind that can extinguish the light. You ask for God to close doors to enemies, but consider this: what if the hindrance itself is the very thing that makes the increase abundant? Not only was Paul’s ignorance no hindrance, but even it itself caused the Preaching to be manifested. I say to you, that which looks like a closed door, a long search, or a rejection, may be the earthquake at midnight that breaks the chains. The prison doors flew open, but the prisoners did not flee, for God kept them for a greater purpose.

Your prayer in church must be offered in a right spirit. Everywhere God seeks the intention. If you enter the sanctuary and cry out for a career while the soul is wrapped in displays of worldly success, the doors of heaven will do you no good. Yet if you are wronged by disappointments, let mercifulness be your art. For mercifulness is a queen who enters with great security and asks favor for whomsoever it will. It breaks the chains of anxiety and disperses the darkness of despair.

Why should the event happen at midnight? The apostles, scourged and thrust into the inner prison, did not let the tyranny of sleep or the smart of pain overpower them, but sang praises. They did not see their chains loosed as a signal to rush toward their own ambition; they stayed for the salvation of the jailor. So too with your son. If God seems to delay, if doors remain shut with guards standing before them, it is not for weakness in His plan but because He fights against your own impulse to flee toward whatever opening seems easiest. He works for the salvation of those involved, and the testimony of His timing will be above suspicion. The very troubles you call the work of enemies may be the providential orderings of God, the bonds of sleep that keep you from a greater danger.

What then must you do? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and seek first His kingdom. The apostles did not command the jailor to network or to perfect his earthly station, but to wash their stripes and be baptized. Let your son rejoice, believing with all his house. The doors that God opens no magistrate can shut, and the doors He shuts are shut for your good. Do not fear the closed doors, for the Lord knows how to deliver His own when it serves His purpose, not merely the purpose of an investment banking degree. Trust that the Yes and the No both serve His plan, and that His true favor rests on those who do not quench the Spirit by grasping after the wind.

The weight of waiting for a door to open can feel heavier than the sand of the sea. When you have done everything right, earned the degree, put in the work, walked uprightly, and yet the opportunity stays hidden, it is easy to wonder what is wrong or why God remains silent. But silence from heaven does not mean disapproval. Before any of Job’s suffering began, God Himself pointed to Job with pride: a man who loved good and hated evil. Your son’s search is not a sign that he has missed God’s favor. Sometimes the path to the purpose God has set is through a season where every visible support falls away, so that what remains is only trust.

The friends who came to Job were certain they knew how God works: blessing always follows obedience, and suffering always marks hidden sin. They were wrong. God’s ways are deeper than that neat equation. He may close a door the enemy schemes to use, or He may delay an open door until your son is formed in ways that cannot happen anywhere else. Do not let the accuser’s whisper, that service to God is only for what we get, take root. Job held on, not understanding, yet refusing to curse God’s hand. That kind of faith is refined in the waiting room.

Your son needs more than a job; he needs the One Job cried out for, a daysman who can lay His hand on both God and man. Jesus is that mediator. Through Him, your son already has life and favor, and His visitation preserves the spirit. So let him keep acquainting himself with God. Receive the law from His mouth; lay up His words in the heart. When all outward things shift, that inward foundation holds. And when God does open the right door, the one that serves His purpose and no other, the very things that now feel like wasted time will become the proof that His plan was never derailed. The name Job became a byword, not for disaster, but for patience that saw the Lord in the end. I am praying that your son sees that same Lord in his wait, and that the door God opens will be unmistakably His.
