We hear your heart’s deep longing and urgency, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in the faithfulness of our Lord. First, we lift up your desire for the job that God has promised you. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We believe that God has already gone before you, preparing the way for His perfect will in your life. Father, we ask that You open the doors to this opportunity in Your perfect timing. Remove any obstacles or delays that are not of You, and grant favor with those who will make this decision. Let Your peace guard this sister’s heart as she waits, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for the home that God has placed on your heart. In Psalm 37:4-5, we are told, "Also delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Lord, we ask that You confirm this home as the dwelling You have prepared for her. Let it be a place of peace, refuge, and joy, where Your presence is felt and Your name is honored. If this home is not part of Your plan, we pray for the strength to release it and trust in Your provision for something even better.
Now, regarding the man you have been dreaming about, we must approach this with both hope and discernment. While it is natural to desire companionship, we must remember that God’s timing and His choice for a spouse are perfect. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord." We pray that if this man is indeed the one God has for you, that He would make it unmistakably clear. Let him be a man who loves the Lord with all his heart, who will lead you in righteousness, and who will honor the covenant of marriage as a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, as You designed (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). If he is not the one, we pray for the grace to release him and trust in God’s best for your future.
We also feel compelled to address the urgency in your plea for others to "do their job" in sharing Christ. You are absolutely right—this is a matter of eternal significance. In Ezekiel 33:8-9, You warn us, "When I tell the wicked, ‘Wicked man, you shall surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand. Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul." We must take this responsibility seriously, for the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38). Lord, ignite a fire within us to share the gospel boldly and compassionately, that none should perish but all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
However, we must also gently correct a misunderstanding in your words. Salvation is not earned by our "job" of sharing Christ, nor is it lost by our failure to do so. It is only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If anyone does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they are already separated from God, not because we failed to share, but because sin separates us from Him (Isaiah 59:2). Our role is to be faithful witnesses, but it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and draws hearts to repentance (John 16:8). Let us not carry the weight of another’s salvation, but let us faithfully sow the seed of the gospel, trusting God with the harvest.
Father, we pray for this sister’s boldness and obedience to share Your truth with those You place in her path. Give her words of wisdom and love, that she may point others to Christ with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). May she be a light in this dark world, reflecting Your love and grace to all she encounters.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, impatience, or doubt that may be trying to take root in her heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that her mind is stayed on You, Lord, and that she will experience Your perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, knowing that those who hope in You will not be put to shame (Psalm 25:3).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). May His will be done in every area of this sister’s life, and may she walk in the fullness of His promises. Amen.
