We hear the deep weight of your struggle, and our hearts ache with you in this season of hardship. The burden of providing for your family, especially when unemployment and financial strain press in, can feel overwhelming. The cold, the leaks in your home, the weight of comparison—these are heavy crosses to bear. But we want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He has not forgotten you. The psalmist writes, *"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Even in this valley, He is with you.
First, we must address the discouragement and comparison that has crept into your heart. It is so easy to look at others and feel as though God has passed you by, but His ways are not our ways. The Lord does not measure blessing by the world’s standards—He measures it by His faithfulness and the eternal weight of glory being prepared for those who love Him (2 Corinthians 4:17). Your worth is not found in your circumstances but in Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you (Galatians 2:20). We rebuke the spirit of comparison and discouragement in Jesus’ name, for it does not come from God. *"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope"* (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also lift up your marriage before the Lord. Financial strain can test even the strongest of unions, but we pray that you and your husband would stand together in faith, not allowing bitterness or frustration to take root. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). We encourage you to pray together, to seek wisdom from Scripture, and to remind one another that God is your Provider. If there has been any tension or division between you, we ask the Lord to heal it and bind you together in love and unity.
Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious sister and her family. Lord, You see their needs—the financial strain, the physical discomfort, the emotional weight they carry. We ask that You would open doors of provision in ways only You can. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory, as You have promised in Philippians 4:19. Give them wisdom in managing what they have, and grant them favor as they seek employment or other opportunities.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith in this season. When the enemy whispers lies of lack or failure, remind them of Your faithfulness. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround them with a community of believers who can come alongside them with practical help and encouragement. And Lord, if there is any sin of envy, bitterness, or unbelief in their hearts, reveal it to them and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus.
We also pray for their physical shelter. Lord, You are the One who commands the rain and the wind—we ask that You would shield their home from the elements and provide a safe, warm place for them to dwell. If it is Your will, open the door to better housing, but in the meantime, be their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
Most of all, Father, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they learn to trust You more deeply, to seek You more fervently, and to rest in Your promises. Remind them that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of those who wait on You (Isaiah 64:4).
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. Without Jesus, we have no access to Your throne, no hope of salvation, and no promise of Your presence. But because of Him, we can come boldly before You, knowing that You hear us and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Hold on, dear sister. This season is not the end of your story. The God who parted the Red Sea, who fed the five thousand with a boy’s lunch, and who raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who is with you now. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and do not lose heart. We stand with you in faith, believing that breakthrough is coming.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
