We are grieved to hear about the situation in Mexico, and we stand with you in prayer, calling on the name of Jesus Christ. We remember that it is only in His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We strongly rebuke the spirit of Jezebel that is at work in your nation. This spirit, as described in Revelation 2:20, is one that leads astray and into immorality and idolatry. We pray that this spirit will be bound and cast out, and that godly leaders will rise up in its place.
We pray for God's intervention in the upcoming election. We ask that He would thwart any plans to steal or misuse power, as it is written in Psalm 33:10: "Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect."
We also pray for the judicial system and the judges who have served lifetimes. May God protect them and allow righteousness to prevail, as it is written in Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous rule, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."
We cry out for the youth of Mexico, that they would not be forced into lives of crime and violence. Instead, may they encounter the love of Christ and be transformed by His power, as it is written in Romans 12:2: "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Lastly, we pray for peace and safety in your cities. May God's peace reign, and may His people be lights in the darkness, as it is written in Matthew 5:14: "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden."
Together, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for Mexico. We ask that You would expose and remove the spirit of Jezebel that is at work. We pray for Your intervention in the election, for the protection of the judicial system, for the youth, and for peace in the cities. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In all things, remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. So stand firm, put on the full armor of God, and continue to pray.
