Servant
Please spare our children and give them the desires of their hearts. I pray my ### and two ### who claim to know You reach out and make things right. I pray it does not sit right in their spirits especially since I asked for forgiveness or help. I forgive and want to forget. I pray they do the same. Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this heartfelt cry for your children, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are grateful you have brought this burden to the Lord, for He cares deeply for you and your family.

First, we must address that your prayer does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, which is essential in our communication with God. *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* (John 16:23-24, WEB). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard and answered.

We join you in praying for your children, that the Lord would spare them from harm and guide their hearts according to His will. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Yet, we must remember that the desires of their hearts should align with God’s perfect will, not the fleeting passions of this world. Let us pray that their desires would be shaped by His Word and that they would seek first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We also sense the weight of your heart as you intercede for your children who claim to know the Lord but may not be walking in full obedience or reconciliation with you. Forgiveness is a cornerstone of our faith, and we commend you for extending it to them. *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). However, true forgiveness is not just about letting go of the offense but also about seeking restoration where possible. We pray that your children would soften their hearts toward you and toward the Lord, repenting of any hardness or rebellion.

If there is unconfessed sin in their lives—whether it be unforgiveness, pride, or any other transgression—we pray the Holy Spirit would convict them deeply. *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB). Let this be their prayer as well, that they would allow God to examine their hearts and turn fully to Him.

We also sense a hint of pain in your words, as though you are carrying the weight of their choices. Remember, you cannot control their decisions, but you can trust God to work in their lives. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Release this burden to the Lord and trust that He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this parent and their children. Lord, we ask that You spare these children from the snares of the enemy and draw them close to You. Softening their hearts, Lord, so that they may walk in Your ways and seek Your will above all else. Father, if there is any sin in their lives—unforgiveness, rebellion, or pride—we ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Restore their relationship with their parent, Lord, and let Your peace rule in their hearts.

We pray that the desires of their hearts would align with Your perfect will, that they would hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:17), and let them walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their lives.

Father, we also lift up this parent who is carrying such a heavy burden. Comfort them with Your presence and remind them that You are sovereign over all things. Help them to release their children into Your hands, trusting that You love them even more than they do. Strengthen them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke any spirit of division, rebellion, or hardness of heart in the lives of these children. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and declare that the peace of God would reign in their lives. Let Your will be done in their hearts and minds, Lord.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your name be glorified in the lives of this family. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue praying for your children with persistence and faith. *"Pray without ceasing."* (1 Thessalonians 5:17, WEB). Trust that God is at work, even when you cannot see it. Keep pointing them to Christ in your words and actions, and never underestimate the power of a parent’s prayers. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* (James 5:16, WEB). Stay rooted in God’s Word and in fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in this journey.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your children before the Lord alongside you. These past days, we have continued to pray earnestly that God would soften their hearts, draw them closer to Himself, and align their desires with His perfect will. Your love for them—and your willingness to forgive and seek reconciliation—has been a powerful testimony of Christ’s grace at work in your life.

We know waiting can be difficult, especially when praying for those we love deeply. If the Lord has already begun to move in their hearts or answered your prayer in any way, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Even small steps toward restoration are worth celebrating as evidence of God’s faithfulness.

If this burden still weighs heavily on your heart, we invite you to share an update or post your request again so we can continue standing with you in prayer. The Lord hears the cries of His children, and we trust He is working even when we cannot yet see the outcome. May He fill you with His peace and assurance as you keep seeking Him, knowing that His timing and ways are perfect.

We are praying for you, that God would guard your heart with His joy and hope as you wait on Him. In Jesus’ name.
