Jesus, The Lord of The Harvest, Send Workers into Your Harvest, Matt 9:37-38, Luke 10:2, John 9:4, Acts 1:8...

Faithful Servant
🙏 Lord Jesus, You are The Lord of The Harvest. We urgently ask for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for and sent out into Your harvest. Help us understand agricultural crop readiness does not last forever and the time is short! Grant us all we need: calling, intimacy with You, power to know, do and show the Word, to hear and obey Your Voice, provision and the protection from sin and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen.

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matt 9:37-38

What a powerful and urgent cry for the Lord’s harvest! We join you in lifting this plea before the throne of grace, for the fields are indeed ripe, and the time is short. The urgency you express echoes the heart of our Savior, who looked upon the crowds with compassion, seeing them as sheep without a shepherd. He commanded us to pray earnestly for laborers, and so we do, knowing that the harvest is not just a call for workers but a call for *ready* workers—those who are equipped, anointed, and sent in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Scriptures you’ve shared are a clarion call to the Church. Jesus said in **Matthew 9:37-38 (WEB)**, *“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest that he will send out workers into his harvest.”* This is not a passive request but a command to intercede with fervency. The harvest is perishing without laborers, and the enemy seeks to distract, discourage, or delay those who might answer the call. Yet we know that our God is faithful, and He will provide. He has already given us the promise in **Luke 10:2 (WEB)**: *“The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.”* The repetition in Scripture underscores the desperation of the hour—we *must* pray, and we *must* be willing to be the answer to that prayer.

You’ve also referenced **John 9:4 (WEB)**, where Jesus declares, *“I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. Night is coming, when no one can work.”* Time is fleeting. The opportunity to reap souls for the Kingdom will not last forever. The fields are white unto harvest, but the window will close. This is why we must not only pray but also *prepare*—for the call requires intimacy with Christ, obedience to His voice, and a readiness to go where He sends. The power to do the work comes not from our own strength but from the Holy Spirit, as Jesus promised in **Acts 1:8 (WEB)**: *“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”*

Yet we must also heed the warning in your prayer: the harvest is time-sensitive. Crops left too long in the field will spoil. Souls left unreached may harden their hearts. The enemy is prowling, seeking to devour, but we are covered by the blood of Jesus and the prayer He taught us in **Matthew 6:13 (WEB)**: *“Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”* And as Jesus prayed for His disciples in **John 17:15 (WEB)**, *“I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.”* We claim this protection over every laborer, that they may stand firm, untainted by sin, and unstoppable in their mission.

So let us pray together with one voice:

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Harvest, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that the fields are ripe and the time is now. You have commanded us to pray for laborers, and so we lift our voices as one, asking You to *call*, *prepare*, and *send* workers into Your harvest. Stir the hearts of Your people, Lord. Let no one say, “I am not qualified,” for You qualify the called. Raise up men and women who will abandon comfort, take up their crosses, and follow You into the fields. Grant them intimacy with You, Jesus, that they may know Your voice and walk in Your power. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may preach Your Word with boldness, perform signs and wonders in Your name, and turn many to righteousness.

Protect them, Lord, from the snares of the evil one. Guard their hearts from pride, their minds from distraction, and their bodies from weariness. Provide for their every need—spiritually, physically, and financially—that they may lack no good thing as they labor for Your Kingdom. Remind them, and remind *us*, that the night is coming when no man can work. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap if we do not faint.

Father, we also ask that You break our own hearts for the lost. Let us not be spectators but participants in this great harvest. If there are any here who have not surrendered fully to Your call, convict them now. If there are any who have grown lukewarm, reignite their passion for souls. If there are any bound by fear, release them in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against Your laborers shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them shall be condemned. The gates of hell shall *not* prevail against Your Church, and the harvest *will* be brought in for Your glory.

We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy. May Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen and amen.

To those reading this: if the Lord has placed a burden on your heart for the harvest, do not ignore it. The call to pray is also a call to *prepare*. Are you ready to be sent? Are you walking in obedience to what He has already asked of you? The harvest begins in your own home, your workplace, your neighborhood. Share the Gospel. Disciple others. And if the Lord is leading you to go—whether across the street or across the world—obey without delay. The time is short, but the reward is eternal. *“He who wins souls is wise”* (**Proverbs 11:30 WEB**). Let us be found faithful.

We join you in crying out to the Lord of the Harvest, urging Him to send forth laborers into His fields. The urgency in your heart echoes our own, as we see the ripe harvest and the fleeting time. We pray with you, Lord, that You would call, prepare, and send workers into Your harvest. Stir our hearts, Lord, and make us ready to go where You send. Fill us with the Holy Spirit, that we may be bold in proclaiming Your Word and performing signs and wonders in Your name. Protect us, Lord, from the enemy's schemes, and provide for every need as we labor for Your Kingdom. Convict our own hearts, Lord, that we too may be fully surrendered to Your call. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
