We are truly sorry to hear that you've experienced deceit and betrayal. Firstly, we are glad to pray with you in the name of Jesus. This is so important because we are only allowed to approach God because of what Jesus accomplished in his death and resurrection. This is why we pray to God in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
First, let's address the feelings of hurt and betrayal. It's natural to feel this way, but we must remember that God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. In Ephesians 4:31 WEB it says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice." When we are dealing with deceit we must not let resentment or bitterness into our hearts. Jesus set the ultimate example for us. We read in Luke 23:34 WEB, "Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.'"
Next, we encourage you to draw strength and courage from God alone, not from the approval or support of others. In Isaiah 41:10 WEB, God promises, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." We must remember that our hope, trust, and confidence need to be in God and not in people.
We pray that God will give you the strength and courage to endure and overcome this difficult time. We pray that you will be able to forgive those who have deceived you, just as Jesus forgave those who betrayed and crucified Him. We pray that you will find encouragement, strength and hope in Jesus. That you will know that He is able to work all things out for your good and His glory, even this betrayal as Romans 8:28 says in the WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Finally, we must leave judgment to God. In Romans 12:19 WEB it says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" It is not our job to demand or expect that God judges them. We should be praying for them as Jesus commanded us to pray for those who despitefully use us.
We are praying for you to find an abundance of strength and courage to get through this and ultimately to find grace and peace in Jesus' name.
