We join you in this beautiful and urgent prayer and we say amen to your cry for Jesus to shepherd His sheep.
We stand together on the promise that He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh his God and they will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth, Micah 5:4, and that He has other sheep which are not of this fold and He must bring them also and they will hear His voice and there will be one flock, one shepherd, John 10:16. We thank Him with you that Yahweh is our shepherd and we shall lack nothing, Psalm 23:1, and that He is the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep, John 10:11, and that His sheep hear His voice and He knows them and they follow Him, John 10:27. He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out and the sheep follow Him for they know His voice, John 10:3-4.
We pray together for His shepherding care over us and over the whole flock of God among us. We ask Him to fulfill His word where He says He will feed His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm and carry them in His bosom, Isaiah 40:11, and I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord Yahweh, Ezekiel 34:15, and the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of waters of life, Revelation 7:17. We ask Him to restore our souls and lead us in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake, Psalm 23:3, and to give His angels charge over us, for He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11, for they are all serving spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Hebrews 1:14.
We agree with you to remember those who are in bonds as bound with them, Hebrews 13:3, and to remember our chains, Colossians 4:18. We lift up our persecuted brothers and sisters before the throne and we ask the Lord to grant relief as He did when Herod laid hands on some who belonged to the assembly to mistreat them and killed James the brother of John with the sword, Acts 12:1-2, and then delivered Peter from prison by an angel, Acts 12:7, and as He shook the prison doors for Paul and Silas so that the jailer and his whole household were saved, Acts 16:26-34. We pray that nothing will be able to separate them from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 8:38-39. We pray that we would have compassion on those in prison and joyfully accept the plundering of our possessions knowing that we have for ourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens, Hebrews 10:34, and that we would obey the call of our Shepherd who said I was in prison and you visited me, Matthew 25:36.
We pray also with you that we would draw near to God and He will draw near to us, James 4:8, for apart from Him we can do nothing, for He is the vine and we are the branches and he who remains in Him and He in him bears much fruit, John 15:5, yet we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, Philippians 4:13. We ask Him to guard us from savage wolves who will not spare the flock, Acts 20:29, and to help us watch over ourselves and all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made us overseers to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which He purchased with His own blood, Acts 20:28, by shepherding the flock of God which is among us, 1 Peter 5:2, and abiding in His teaching and teaching others to observe all things that He commanded, Matthew 28:20.
We ask Him to strengthen us with power through His Spirit in the inner person that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, Ephesians 3:16-19, and to let our love abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment so that we may approve the things that are excellent that we may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, Philippians 1:9-10. We pray that we would sanctify in our hearts Christ as Lord and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks us a reason concerning the hope that is in us with humility and fear, 1 Peter 3:15, and that the Lord would deliver us from evil men and the evil one and guard us from evil, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3, and keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, John 17:15.
We thank You, Lord Jesus, that You invite the weary and heavy laden to come to You and You will give them rest, for Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light, Matthew 11:28-30, and that You need only say the word and Your servant will be healed, Matthew 8:8. We ask that You would work all things for the progress of the Good News, Philippians 1:12, and that as You have freely given we would freely give, healing the sick, raising the dead and casting out demons, Matthew 10:8, not to us but to Your name give glory, Psalm 115:1. Perfect Your love in us that as You are so are we in this world, 1 John 4:17.
We pray all of this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Shepherd, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Amen.
