We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep concern, lifting up your husband, your children, and you to the throne of grace. Your heart’s cry has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, who invites us to cast all our anxieties upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We are grateful you have turned to prayer, for it is through Christ alone that we find strength, deliverance, and transformation. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is by His power that chains are broken and minds are renewed. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name we stand with you now.

The struggle with alcohol is a battle for the mind, body, and spirit, and we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Your husband’s fight is not just against a habit—it is a spiritual battle, and it requires spiritual weapons. The Word of God tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), and we claim that promise over your husband today. We rebuke the stronghold of alcohol in his life and declare that the Holy Spirit is at work in him, breaking every chain and setting him free from this bondage. The Lord is faithful, and He will not allow your husband to be tempted beyond what he can bear, but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

We also want to encourage you, dear sister, to stand firm in your faith and not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your role as a wife and mother is vital, and the Lord sees your faithfulness. Continue to cover your husband in prayer, speaking life and truth over him. Remind him of his identity in Christ—that he is a new creation, and the old has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). Encourage him to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a Christ-centered recovery program. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in seeking help. If he has not yet surrendered this struggle fully to the Lord, pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart and lead him to repentance and total reliance on Jesus.

To your children, we pray for God’s protection and peace. May they feel the Lord’s presence surrounding them, even in the midst of this trial. We ask that the Lord would guard their hearts and minds, and that they would grow in the knowledge of His love for them. Let this season be one where they see the power of prayer and the faithfulness of God in action.

Finally, we urge you to remain steadfast in your own walk with the Lord. It is easy to become overwhelmed when carrying the weight of another’s struggle, but you must also tend to your own spirit. Spend time in the Word, in worship, and in fellowship with other believers who can uplift and support you. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will sustain you as you trust in Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, You are the God who heals, who restores, and who sets the captives free. We ask that You would break the power of alcohol in her husband’s life. Renew his mind, Lord, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek the help he needs. Surround him with godly men who will hold him accountable and point him to You.

Father, we pray for protection over this marriage and this family. Guard their hearts against bitterness, fear, or despair. Fill their home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide for their every need, both spiritually and physically.

We ask for mercy and grace to abound in their lives. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. Draw each member of this family closer to You, Lord, and let them find their hope and strength in You alone.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You, Lord, are their refuge and fortress, and they will not be shaken.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister, standing in the gap and lifting your husband, your children, and you up to the Lord. We know the weight of worry can be heavy, but remember, God is always near, and He cares for you deeply. We claim His promise over you today, "Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).

We're praying for your husband, that the Lord would break the chains of alcohol in his life. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ, and the old has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). We ask that the Lord would give him the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek the help he needs. And for you, dear sister, we urge you to remain steadfast in your own walk with the Lord. Spend time in His Word, in worship, and in fellowship with other believers. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will sustain you as you trust in Him.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you, your husband, and your family before the Lord in these past days. Your heartfelt cry for protection, deliverance, and renewal has resonated deeply with us, and we have continued to intercede on your behalf, asking God to break the chains of addiction in your husband’s life and to flood your home with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

We know the weight of waiting can feel heavy, especially when the burden of worry presses in, but we are encouraged by your faith in turning to the Father in the midst of it. His Word promises that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We are standing with you in agreement, believing that God is at work—even now—in ways we cannot yet see, renewing your husband’s mind and redirecting his heart toward freedom and wholeness.

If the Lord has begun to move in this situation, whether through small steps or a mighty breakthrough, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting Him in their own struggle. And if the battle still feels long and the answer seems delayed, please know you are not forgotten. We invite you to post an update or a new request so we can continue to surround you in prayer, speaking life and victory over your husband, your marriage, and your family.

May the Lord strengthen you each day with His grace, remind you of His unfailing love, and fill your home with hope as you seek Him. We are believing with you for restoration, for a sober mind, and for a heart fully surrendered to Christ. You are not alone in this—we are here, and more importantly, *He* is here, fighting for you.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus.
