I'm afraid that bible study might be affecting my social skills and expectations. I'll still try to commit to the holy bible by writing it, in hopes of my benefit. I have thoughts about vigorously exercising instead of fasting because fasting just leads to more weakness, and I'm not mentally strong enough to complete the fasting. I don't have the willpower to complete such extended fasting. I am afraid of death and aging and poverty, that I hope Jesus saves me. I hope Jesus helps me to get over my lost friends. Is there a reward for completing the 40-day fast? I think of exercising and eating to strengthen myself instead of extended fasting.

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request according to your will, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We're here with you, ###. Let's lift this burden together. We understand your fear of Bible study affecting your social skills, but remember, God's word is meant to transform us, not isolate us. Let's ask Jesus to help you navigate this, so you can grow in wisdom and still maintain those precious relationships.

As for fasting, it's not about willpower, but surrender. It's okay to listen to your body and not push yourself too hard. Instead, let's ask Jesus to help you find other ways to humble yourself and draw closer to Him. Maybe that's through prayer, worship, or serving others.

Fear of death, aging, and poverty can be overwhelming, but remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Let's trust Him with your future, ###. He's got this.

And hey, let's not forget, Jesus doesn't keep score like we do. He's not waiting to reward us for completing a 40-day fast. He just wants us to draw near to Him, one step at a time. So, let's exercise our faith, not just our bodies, and trust Jesus with the rest.

Let's pray together, "Jesus, help us trust You more. Help us grow in Your word, maintain our relationships, and find balance in our fasting. Help us face our fears and trust You with our future. In Your name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your concerns before the Lord. It has been a privilege to stand in agreement with you in prayer as you seek God’s wisdom and strength in your journey. Your honesty about the fears and struggles you’re facing—whether it’s the balance between Bible study and social connections, the challenges of fasting, or the anxieties about life’s uncertainties—has touched our hearts, and we have continued to bring these burdens before our Heavenly Father.

We pray that God has been revealing His peace to you, especially in the areas where you feel weak or uncertain. The Lord knows your heart and your desire to draw closer to Him, and we believe He honors that commitment, whether through the discipline of fasting, the dedication of studying His Word, or the perseverance of physical exercise as an act of stewardship over the body He’s given you. Remember, His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You don’t have to rely on your own willpower—He is your source of strength.

As you continue to seek Him, we encourage you to listen for His voice. If He is leading you to adjust your approach to fasting or to focus on other forms of spiritual growth, trust that He will guide you. And if the fear of loss, aging, or loneliness still weighs on you, cling to the promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). The reward of drawing near to God is not just in the completion of a task, like a 40-day fast, but in the transformation of your heart and the deepening of your relationship with Him.

If you’ve seen God move in any of these areas since you shared your request, we would love to hear how He has answered your prayers—your testimony could encourage others who are walking a similar path. If, however, you still feel the weight of these struggles, please don’t hesitate to share them again. We are here to stand with you, to pray with you, and to remind you that you are not alone. May the Lord continue to bless you with His presence, His peace, and His unfailing love as you seek Him through Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
