JESUS, OUR SAVIOR IS BORN
"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledgedto be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 1:4-7
Merry Christmas! What a special day for us. Our Savior was born and then years later He shed His Blood on the cross for all sinners to be able to receive eternal life. Let us pray for thousands of men, women and children who will attend church to have their hearts softened by the King of Kings. We are praying and expecting many miracles of marriage restoration today. Will you pray with me for hearts, lives and marriages to be touched and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit around the world?
Today I want to remind you that you are not alone! Our Lord God is right there beside you. Talk to Him and He will give you His peace that is beyond understanding! Let this Christmas Day be the time that you allow Him to take the place of your husband/wife for this season. My prayer is that in years ahead you might look back to this Christmas, not with bad memories, but as the year that Christmas came alive to you, as you allowed Jesus to have His rightful place in your life.
When you are alone, I encourage you to read Luke Chapter 2, aloud. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart today as you read the story of the birth of Jesus. The One whose birth we are celebrating is the One who will touch your husband’s/wife’s heart. May you and I pray in agreement with thousands of other standers that thousands of prodigals will have their own personal Damascus Road experience this very day.
You may be with family or you may be alone. I want to give you two Christmas gifts. Bob was deeply aware of standers hurting at Christmas, so he wrote four Christmas books. Do you want to hear about marriage restoration? Read Millie's Christmas. If you have finished that small book, let me give you a larger book to read today, called Hack (use password christmas). The story is of a fallen pastor, but you will be blessed and encouraged when you finish reading it.
Dear stander, are you crying today and feel alone? I understand. Yesterday, I was crying out for you to have your spouse come home suddenly. I understand your loneliness, but allow the Lord to be your best friend and spouse for this specific time in your life. I talk to the Lord all day long every day, asking Him questions of what I should do regarding everything. Today, ask the Lord to bless you with a special “rhema†Word from Him for your Christmas gift. Remember, He loves you, your husband/wife and family so much.
I remember my first Christmas alone. Bob took our children down to his parent’s house for a Christmas breakfast and gifts. I went to a friend’s house for Christmas morning. I felt so out of place. But I took Bob’s Christmas gift that he had given me thinking it was from the children. When I opened it, I was totally stunned. Let me explain. A few weeks before our divorce was to be final, Bob had his wedding band melted down into a cluster, which he wrapped as a Christmas gift for me. This was his way of telling me that he was never coming back home. Yes, he was very angry with me that Christmas morning as I had refused Bob to come to our home for Thanksgiving. Our divorce was in January. But never forget what the Lord did for our marriage in spite of all our circumstances. Today I proudly wear that piece of jewelry as a testimony to what God can do.
What part of your life is God allowing to go through the fire today? I pray that you might allow that wedding band to be your reminder this Christmas of the power of your awesome mighty God. What your spouse has planned and is doing can be totally reversed by the power of the Holy Spirit!
Today, as I celebrate the birth of Jesus with my family, the needs and hurts of you, dear stander, and other standers around the world praying for marriage restoration, will be on my heart. May you discover God to be the greatest Comforter right now. Do not let the enemy tell you all the circumstances of why your marriage will never be restored. Instead, pull out your journal or your promise book and read all the promises that the Lord has given you.
"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19
Now go and have a blessed and Merry Christmas with the Lord!
