We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we are grieved by the bondage you describe—yet we rejoice that you have cried out to Jesus, your Savior and Lord, for He alone is your deliverer! You have called upon the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and we stand with you in agreement, declaring that the chains of addiction, confusion, and despair *will* be broken in Jesus’ mighty name.

The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ has already triumphed over every power of darkness (Colossians 2:15). Your confession that your mind feels trapped in the devil’s hand is a call to war—not in your own strength, but in the authority of Jesus, who has given you *all* power to tread upon the enemy (Luke 10:19). The alcohol, the smoking, the mental fog—these are not your master. *Jesus is your Master*, and He has not abandoned you. Even now, He is reaching into the depths of your struggle, saying, *“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest”* (Matthew 11:28). You do not have to carry this alone. Surrender these burdens to Him *today*.

Your inability to pray is a lie of the enemy. The Spirit Himself intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26), and even now, as you read this, heaven is moving on your behalf. The fact that you *want* to pray again is evidence that God is already at work in you. *“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise”* (Psalm 51:17). He hears you, beloved. He *sees* you.

Now, let us address the strongholds in your life with the truth of Scripture:
1. **Addiction and Substance Abuse**: *“Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The drinking and smoking are not just habits—they are idols that have taken the place of God in your life. Repent of these sins, destroy every trace of them (Acts 19:19), and ask the Holy Spirit to fill the void they leave. He will! *“No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure”* (1 Corinthians 10:13).
2. **Mental Confusion and Depression**: *“For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control”* (2 Timothy 1:7). The mental fog and despair are not from God. *“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”* (John 10:10). Claim the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and reject every lie that says you are hopeless or incapable. *“Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things”* (Philippians 4:8).
3. **Work and Confidence**: *“Commit your works to Yahweh, and your thoughts will be established”* (Proverbs 16:3). Your performance at work is not your identity—your identity is in Christ. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and *all these things will be added to you* (Matthew 6:33). Ask God for wisdom (James 1:5), and trust that He will equip you. *“I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me”* (Philippians 4:13).
4. **Relationships**: You mentioned a woman you are talking to who is draining your energy. We urge you to examine this relationship through the lens of Scripture. *“Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?”* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this woman is not a believer who is wholeheartedly seeking God, you are risking spiritual compromise. Even if she is a believer, if the relationship is not life-giving and centered on Christ, it is not from God. *“He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm”* (Proverbs 13:20). Pray for discernment, and do not fear letting go of what is not God’s best for you. Your energy should be invested in seeking the Lord and preparing for a *godly marriage*—one that honors Him.
5. **Parents and Protection**: We join you in praying for your parents’ safety and prosperity. *“Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you”* (Exodus 20:12). God honors your prayers for them, and we declare His hedges of protection around their lives.

Now, let us pray together over you:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your beloved child who is crying out from the depths of despair. Lord, You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You have not forgotten this one. We break every chain of addiction—alcohol, smoking, and every stronghold—that has enslaved our brother. By the blood of Jesus, we command these spirits of bondage to flee and never return. Fill the void with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).

Father, we rebuke the spirits of confusion, depression, and forgetfulness. *“Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me”* (Psalm 138:7). We declare that his mind is renewed by Your Word (Romans 12:2) and that every neural pathway damaged by sin is healed in Jesus’ name. Restore his memory, his clarity, and his confidence, Lord. Let him *“not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of his mind”* (Romans 12:2).

We pray for his work—open doors of favor that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give him wisdom, skill, and excellence that can only come from You. Let his supervisors see the hand of God upon him and speak words of affirmation and promotion. Provide him with a dream job that aligns with Your purpose for his life, where he will thrive and glorify You.

Lord, we ask for divine wisdom regarding the relationship he mentioned. If it is not of You, sever it completely. If there is any redirection needed, make it clear. Prepare him for a godly spouse who will walk beside him in faith, one who will sharpen him and draw him closer to You (Proverbs 27:17). Until then, guard his heart and keep him pure.

We thank You for his parents—protect them from all harm, surround them with Your angels, and let them live long, prosperous lives under Your care. Bless them abundantly for the sake of their faith and their son’s prayers.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would encounter him in a fresh way. Let him feel Your presence so tangibly that every doubt flees. Remind him that *“the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit”* (Psalm 34:18). Restore his prayer life, Lord. Let him *“pray without ceasing”* (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that he is *more than a conqueror* through Christ (Romans 8:37). The old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). He is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and You have a plan to prosper him and not to harm him, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.*

---
Beloved, this is not the end of your story—it is the beginning of your breakthrough. Here is what we urge you to do *immediately*:
1. **Repent and Renounce**: Verbally renounce the sins of drunkenness, smoking, and any other stronghold. Confess them to God, ask for forgiveness, and turn away from them (1 John 1:9). Destroy any alcohol or smoking paraphernalia in your possession.
2. **Fast and Pray**: Set aside time to fast (even if just one meal) and seek God’s face. Replace the time spent drinking or smoking with prayer and reading the Word. Start with Psalm 23 and Psalm 91.
3. **Fellowship**: You cannot fight this battle alone. Find a Bible-believing church *today* and connect with mature believers who can disciple you. *“Two are better than one… For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow”* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
4. **Guard Your Mind**: Replace secular music, shows, or influences with worship music and Scripture. *“Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth”* (Colossians 3:2).
5. **Take Practical Steps**: If depression or memory loss persists, seek godly counsel and medical help. God uses doctors and medicine as tools for healing (Luke 8:43-48).

You are not defined by your struggles—you are defined by *Christ in you, the hope of glory* (Colossians 1:27). Rise up, warrior of God. Your Redeemer lives, and He is fighting for you! (Job 19:25). Walk in victory, for *“the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”* (1 John 4:4). We are standing with you in faith. Now *you* stand and take back what the enemy has stolen. The Lord is with you!

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here for you. We know that life can feel overwhelming at times, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, and He wants to help you overcome every challenge you're facing.

First, we want to remind you that God loves you just the way you are. He sees your struggles, and He's not surprised by them. In fact, He's been waiting for you to turn to Him, to ask for His help. So, keep talking to Him, keep praying. Even if you feel like you can't find the right words, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).

Now, let's tackle some of these areas together:

1. **Addiction**: We know it's hard, but you can overcome this. The first step is to acknowledge that these habits are not helping you, but harming you. Ask God for strength to resist temptation. Remember, you're not defined by your addictions; you're defined by Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). So, let's pray together: "Dear Lord, help ### to overcome his addictions. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and help him to resist every temptation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

2. **Mental Fog and Depression**: We understand that it's tough when you can't think straight or remember things. But remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So, let's claim this promise together: "Dear Lord, we claim Your promise of a sound mind for ###. Help him to think clearly and remember things. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

3. **Work and Confidence**: We believe in you, and so does God. He's equipped you with everything you need to perform at work and to have confidence. So, let's pray: "Dear Lord, help ### to excel at work. Give him wisdom, skill, and confidence. Help him to see every challenge as an opportunity to glorify You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

4. **Relationships**: We encourage you to seek God's will in your relationships. If something or someone is draining your energy, it might not be from God. Trust God to lead you into relationships that honor Him and build you up.

5. **Parents and Protection**: We join you in praying for your parents. Let's ask God to protect them, keep them safe, and bless them abundantly. "Dear Lord, protect ###'s parents. Keep them safe, bless them, and let them live long, prosperous lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God is always with you. He's fighting for you, and He wants to help you overcome every challenge. So, keep trusting Him, keep praying, and keep taking steps forward. You're not alone; we're standing with you, and so is Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
