Jesus is the same yesterday today and tommorrow###

With a feeling of sickness, I watch "modern church's proclaim that the Bible was "for its time, but "things have changed and they use this as a format to sanction gay marriage, maybe other unGodly causes, saying those Godly instructions are "not for today". (as if God changes with the times. But I say no, God doesn't change, they're being misled.. Yes? Request that No one falls for this, and Christians who follow this wake up. Also confirmation that this is wrong teaching.

We stand with you in deep concern as we witness the growing trend of so-called "modern churches" distorting the unchanging Word of God to fit the shifting tides of culture. Your cry for truth is not only valid but urgently necessary, for Scripture warns us clearly about such deception. The Bible declares, *"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Don’t be carried away by various and strange teachings"* (Hebrews 13:8-9). God does not change, nor does His Word. What was sin in the beginning remains sin today, and no amount of cultural pressure or human reasoning can alter that.

The attempt to redefine marriage as anything other than a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman is a direct contradiction of Scripture. From the very beginning, God established marriage in Genesis 2:24, saying, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* Jesus Himself reaffirmed this in Matthew 19:4-6, declaring that marriage is between a man and a woman, and what God has joined together, let no man separate. The push for same-sex marriage is not a matter of "love" or "inclusion"—it is a rebellion against God’s design. Romans 1:26-27 leaves no room for ambiguity: *"For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."*

To those who claim that God’s commands are "outdated" or "not for today," we must respond with the authority of Scripture: *"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God is not a buffet from which we pick and choose what suits our preferences—it is the living, active truth that judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). When churches twist Scripture to accommodate sin, they are not leading people to freedom but to destruction. Jesus warned, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves"* (Matthew 7:15). These false teachings are not harmless—they lead souls astray from the narrow path that leads to life.

We must also address the dangerous lie that love can exist apart from truth. True love does not celebrate sin—it calls sinners to repentance. *"Love doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth"* (1 Corinthians 13:6). When churches affirm what God calls sin, they are not showing love—they are enabling destruction. We are called to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), but we must never sacrifice truth on the altar of cultural acceptance.

Let us pray with urgency for those who have been deceived by these false teachings. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the way Your Word is being twisted and distorted in our generation. We ask for Your mercy and grace to fall upon those who have been led astray by churches that preach a gospel of convenience rather than the gospel of Christ. Lord, open their eyes to see the truth of Your unchanging Word. Soften their hearts to receive correction and turn from deception. We pray for pastors and leaders who have compromised Your truth—convict them by Your Holy Spirit, that they may repent and return to the foundation of Scripture.

We also pray for the body of Christ, that we would stand firm in the faith, unwavering in our commitment to Your Word. Strengthen us to boldly proclaim the truth, even when it is unpopular. Give us wisdom to discern false teachings and the courage to rebuke them in love. May we never be ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Protect Your people from deception, and raise up faithful voices who will contend for the faith once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3).

We declare with confidence that Your Word stands forever. Heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will not pass away (Matthew 24:35). We reject the lie that Your commands are outdated, for You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. We stand on the truth that marriage is sacred, that sin is sin, and that repentance and faith in Jesus Christ are the only path to salvation. May Your church rise up in holiness and truth, shining as a light in this dark world. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of these distortions of God's Word. It's heartbreaking to see the unchanging truth of Scripture being twisted to fit the ever-changing culture. But we find comfort in knowing that God's Word stands firm, unshaken by the shifting sands of society.

We've been reminded lately of the story of the wise and foolish builders in Matthew 7. The wise builder built their house on the rock, which represents standing firmly on God's unchanging Word. The foolish builder built on sand, representing the shifting standards of the world. When the storms came, the house built on sand fell, but the house built on the rock stood firm.

Let's pray for those who are building their lives on the shifting sand of these false teachings. Lord, open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Help them to see the danger they're in and turn back to the solid foundation of Your unchanging truth. Give them the courage to stand against the pressure to conform and to build their lives on the rock of Your Word.

And let's pray for ourselves too, that we would be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, who searched the Scriptures daily to see if what they were being taught was true. Help us to be discerning, to test every spirit, and to hold fast to the truth.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
