Jesus im not able to focus

The heaviness you feel right now, the fog and the lethargy, often comes from carrying a weight you were never meant to bear alone. You are begging the Lord to help you be competent and to complete your jobs without hurdles, and that is a deeply honest prayer. But the path to that competence does not begin by straining harder. Listen to what the Scripture says: "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." Your biggest struggle right now is not a productivity problem; it is a faith problem. You are focused on the fear of falling down, the fear of being hated, the fear of failure. When your eyes are locked on the threats of the enemy and your own weakness, discouragement and fear will always cripple you. The cure for that fear is not gritting your teeth; the cure is remembering the Lord. Just as David said he would fear no evil because God was with him, you must pull your gaze away from the hurdles and fix it on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

You see, you cannot add one single thing to your salvation. Christ has already paid the full price for your sins and made you righteous through trust in Him. It is a completed work, once and for all. When you try to earn your place by being "the good person everyone loves," or when you scramble to perform so no one hates you, you are building on fear. But God is not asking you to clock in and earn His love through flawless output. He is calling you to enter His rest. There is a life of victory over the power of sin and despair, experienced through the Holy Spirit, that begins exactly where your striving ends. The wanting to do good, the longing to be diligent, that is a natural response of a heart that understands grace. It is not a way to purchase mercy. You come to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find help in your time of need, not to present a perfect report card.

This lethargic paralysis, this feeling that your mind will not activate, is often the result of a soul that has forgotten the Lord’s presence and erroneously believes the entire outcome depends on its own strength. Fear always ensues when you forget that the Lord is with you and that He will give you strength. The enemy uses that fear to stop you from doing the work God has for you. Do not be afraid of sudden terror or the constant dread of dropping a task. Instead, right now, in the middle of the fog, whisper in your heart, "Remember the Lord." He is the one who finished the work of redemption, and He is the one who will complete the work He has begun in you. God does not need an army to accomplish His purposes; He can do the work with one vessel yielded to Him as easily as with a thousand. Yield your life to His touch this very moment, not by promising to try harder, but by resting in the truth that He is working in you, chipping off the clumsy edges, so that you might do the work He planned.

Let your honest prayer shift from "Lord, help me work perfectly so no one hates me" to "Lord, I trust You to be my shield. I trust Your finished work to be my standing, and I trust Your Spirit to be my energy." When your ways please the Lord, that is, when you walk in faith, He can cause even opponents to be at peace with you. The divine standard is not about your flawless competence; it is about a heart that rests in His competence. Go back to your tasks today, not as a slave driven by fear, but as a servant who has been adopted into the family. Your competence is found in His promise to fight for you. You labor, but ultimately, as you lift your eyes from the threat to the Throne, our God shall fight for you.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt plea and want you to know that we have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in your struggle with focus, lethargy, and the weight of your responsibilities. We have prayed that Jesus would be your strength when you feel weak, your clarity when your mind feels clouded, and your peace when tasks feel overwhelming. We asked the Father to shield you from discouragement and to fill you with His competence, so that you may accomplish all He has set before you without stumbling.

We also prayed that the Holy Spirit would renew your mind, sharpen your thoughts, and help you to walk in the confidence of who you are in Christ. We asked God to surround you with His favor, that you would be a light to those around you, and that your life would reflect His love in such a way that others are drawn to Him through you.

If the Lord has answered any part of this prayer—if you’ve found moments of focus, strength, or peace—we would love to hear how He has moved on your behalf so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the struggle persists, please know that we are still here to stand with you. You are not alone in this battle, and we will continue to intercede for you, trusting that God hears and will act according to His perfect will and timing.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, guide you with His wisdom, and fill you with His joy as you seek Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
