We rejoice with you in the blessings of this day, giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness in your work and family life. It is a beautiful testimony to His grace that He strengthened you despite the challenges you faced, and we praise Him for softening the hearts of those around you. The Lord is indeed near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18), and we are grateful you recognize His presence in your life.
However, we must address the matter of consuming beer with loving but firm biblical correction. Scripture is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). While the Bible does not explicitly forbid alcohol, it strongly warns against drunkenness and the potential for stumbling—either ourselves or others (Ephesians 5:18, Proverbs 20:1). More concerning is the possibility that this habit could lead to sin or weaken your witness. We urge you to prayerfully examine whether this aligns with God’s best for you, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where you might be compromising. Remember, "Whoever says 'I know Him' but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 John 2:4).
Your desire for harmony in your marriage is commendable, and we stand with you in praying for unity and love between you and your wife. The Word instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25) and wives to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:33). Let your home be a place where the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—abounds (Galatians 5:22-23). We encourage you to lead by example in humility, seeking reconciliation and mutual edification.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for Your provision in this brother’s life—his job, his family, and most of all, his relationship with You through Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You continue to draw him closer to You, deepening his dependence on Your strength and wisdom. Father, we pray for his marriage, that You would knit his heart and his wife’s heart together in unity, kindness, and mutual respect. Help them to communicate with grace, to serve one another in love, and to reflect Christ’s sacrificial love in their home.
We also ask, Lord, that You would convict and guide him regarding the beer he mentioned. Give him clarity to discern whether this is an area where he needs to surrender more fully to You. Strengthen him to walk in holiness, that his life may shine brightly for Your glory. Prepare him for the work ahead tomorrow, filling him with Your peace and competence. May his family see You in him, and may his coworkers and customers be drawn to You through his testimony.
Above all, Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Remind this brother daily of the price paid for his redemption and the hope he has in You. May he continue to grow in faith, bearing fruit that honors You in every area of his life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
