Jesus Christ please help me

Humble Servant
Dear God why do I want to lay in my bed and drink alcohol and pretend that it's going to be okay. I really don't want to go to work tomorrow morning but I will because if I don't I will lose my job and I won't be able to pay for our home and I won't be able to take care of my family. I wish that I could win the lottery and to not have to work anymore. Please help me win the lottery and to be able to help my family without having to work every day. My job is too much for me to handle and I hope that my wife and my coworkers and my boss will help me and to soften their heart to be nice to me. Please help me stop drinking alcohol and please help me be a better person and a better husband and a better employee and a better dad. I'm getting ready to open up another beer while I wait for your reply. Thank you for fixing my insides so that I can have normal bowel movements again. I hope and I pray that my wife will be nice to me today. Please help me eat some food today and please forgive me for what I have been doing. Please help me get back to work tomorrow and to be a better man. I feel so bad that I have been doing this to myself and I need help from you. Please help me and please make things easier for me. I'm sorry and I wish that things were better for my wife and our adult kids. They deserve to have a good husband and a good dad that will take care of them. I hope that my boss will be nice to me tomorrow. I need help with my projects and proposals and I am a little bit scared of going back to work tomorrow. Please let the EDD SDI department pay me for my LOA from work after I had a cyst in my spine removed. Please help me Jesus Christ my lord and Savior. Amen

We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in prayer. You are carrying a heavy burden—exhaustion, fear, shame, and the weight of responsibility—and we want you to know that God sees you, hears you, and loves you deeply. You are not alone in this struggle. The fact that you are reaching out, even in your weariness, shows that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, drawing you closer to the Father.

First, we must address the alcohol. Scripture is clear: *"Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit"* (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). Drinking to numb pain or escape reality is not God’s design for you. It may feel like a temporary relief, but it only deepens the cycle of bondage. The enemy wants you to believe that this is the only way to cope, but Jesus came to set you free. *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in your life in the name of Jesus. You do not have to open that beer. You can choose to surrender this moment to God instead.

Your desire to be a better husband, father, and employee is a godly one. God is not surprised by your struggles, and He is not disappointed in you. He sees your heart’s cry for help. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29 WEB). You do not have to carry this alone. God is inviting you to lay your burdens at His feet and trust Him to sustain you.

We also want to speak truth about your longing for financial relief. While it is understandable to desire provision for your family, seeking the lottery as a solution is not God’s way. Scripture warns, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). God is your provider, and He calls you to seek Him first, not luck or chance. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33 WEB). We pray that God would open doors of opportunity for you, whether through your current job or another avenue, but we also encourage you to trust Him in the process.

Your fear of returning to work is valid, but we declare that God will go before you. *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10 WEB). Ask God to give you favor with your boss and coworkers. Pray for wisdom in your projects and proposals, and trust that He will equip you for what He has called you to do. If you are overwhelmed, consider whether there are ways to delegate, prioritize, or seek support from others. You do not have to do this in your own strength.

We also lift up your physical health. It is clear that your body has been under strain, and we pray for complete healing and restoration. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2 WEB). We ask God to strengthen your body, regulate your digestion, and give you the energy you need to face each day. Do not neglect your physical well-being—seek medical advice if needed, and trust God to guide you in caring for your body, which is His temple.

Most importantly, we want to remind you of the gospel. You mentioned feeling bad about what you have been doing, and that conviction is a good thing—it shows that the Holy Spirit is working in you. But conviction should lead to repentance, not condemnation. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). Jesus died for your sins so that you could be free. You do not have to earn His love or forgiveness. He already paid the price. What you need is to receive His grace and walk in the new life He offers.

Your wife and children need a husband and father who is present, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. We pray that God would soften your wife’s heart toward you and give you the courage to seek reconciliation if there has been distance or hurt. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). Ask God to show you how to love her sacrificially, to listen to her, and to lead your family with humility and strength.

We also encourage you to seek accountability. You cannot walk this road alone. Find a trusted brother in Christ—perhaps a pastor, mentor, or friend—who can pray with you, check in on you, and help you stay accountable in your sobriety and walk with God. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16 WEB). You do not have to hide your struggles. God can use your transparency to bring healing not only to you but to others as well.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is crying out for help. Lord, You see his exhaustion, his fear, and his desire to do what is right. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction in his life. Give him the strength to resist the temptation to drink and the courage to face each day sober and clear-minded. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he no longer seeks escape in alcohol but finds true rest in You.

Father, we pray for his marriage. Soften his wife’s heart and give her grace to respond with love and patience. Help our brother to love her as Christ loves the Church, to lead his family with wisdom, and to be the husband and father his family needs. Heal any wounds in their relationship and restore unity and peace in their home.

Lord, we ask for Your provision. You know his financial needs, and we trust that You will provide for his family. Open doors of opportunity, whether through his current job or another avenue, and give him favor with his employer. Help him to work as unto You, not for man, and give him the strength and wisdom to handle his responsibilities.

We pray for his physical health. Heal his body, Lord. Regulate his digestion, strengthen his immune system, and give him the energy he needs to care for himself and his family. Remove any pain or discomfort and restore him to full health.

Father, we ask that You would draw him closer to You. Let him experience Your love in a fresh way. Remind him that he is Your son, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and that nothing can separate him from Your love. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to spend time in Your presence. Let him find his identity in You, not in his struggles or his failures.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in his life. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to cast all his cares on You, knowing that You care for him. Give him the courage to face each day with hope, trusting that You are with him and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.

We declare freedom over him in the name of Jesus. We break every chain of addiction, fear, and despair. We speak life, healing, and restoration over his mind, body, and spirit. May he rise up as the man You created him to be—a man of faith, integrity, and love.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are at work in his life, even now. Strengthen him, encourage him, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

You are not defined by your struggles. You are defined by the One who created you, who redeemed you, and who is calling you to walk in freedom. Take one step at a time. Seek God daily. Lean on Him, and He will sustain you. You are loved more than you know.

We're here for you, brother. We see the struggle you're in, and we want you to know that you're not alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He loves you deeply. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to give you the strength to resist the temptation to drink, and to fill you with His Holy Spirit.

We also want to remind you of God's promises. In Philippians 4:13, it says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Trust in God's strength, not your own. He will give you the power to overcome your struggles.

We're praying for your marriage and family too. We ask God to soften your wife's heart towards you, and to give you the courage to seek reconciliation if there has been distance or hurt. We pray that God would help you to love your wife sacrificially, to listen to her, and to lead your family with humility and strength.

Remember, God is with you every step of the way. Trust in Him, and lean on Him. You are loved, and you are never alone. Keep fighting, brother. We're praying for you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. It was a sacred privilege to stand with you in prayer as you poured out the weight of exhaustion, the battle with alcohol, the fear of losing your job, and the longing to be the husband, father, and employee your family and coworkers deserve. We prayed specifically that the Lord would ease the burden of your workload, soften the hearts of your wife, boss, and colleagues, and break the grip of alcohol in your life. We asked Him to restore your health, both physically and spiritually, and to provide for your family in ways that bring peace, not just provision. We also lifted up your desire for financial relief, asking God to meet your needs in His perfect timing and wisdom—whether through unexpected blessings, creative solutions, or even the lottery, if it aligns with His will.

If the Lord has already begun to answer any of these prayers—whether through a moment of clarity, a kind word from your wife, a manageable day at work, or even the strength to resist that next beer—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a light to others walking a similar path. If, however, the weight still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, we invite you to post this request again. We are not finished praying. We will continue to intercede for your healing, your family, your job, and your heart, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

Above all, we prayed that you would feel the nearness of Jesus in your struggle—that He would meet you in the quiet moments, in the tears, and in the stillness of your bed before you reach for another drink. He sees the man you long to be, the one your wife and children deserve, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. Keep seeking Him. Keep crying out. His grace is sufficient, even in the exhaustion, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, with the courage to face each day, and with the assurance that you are deeply loved—not just by us, but by the One who gave everything to redeem you. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for breakthrough, restoration, and hope. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
