We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt cries, lifting you up in prayer and seeking the Lord’s mercy and transformation in every area of your life. The name of Jesus is our only access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed, strengthened, and made new. We are so grateful that you have called upon Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father, we first ask for your mighty hand to break the chains of addiction in this dear one’s life. Alcohol and marijuana are not merely habits—they are strongholds that dull the spirit, weaken the body, and hinder the mind from walking in the fullness of Your will. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name. We declare freedom over this child of Yours and ask that You fill the void with Your Holy Spirit, replacing every craving with a hunger for righteousness. Give him the strength to resist temptation, the wisdom to seek godly accountability, and the courage to turn away from these substances completely. We pray for divine intervention, that You would sever every tie to these things and restore his body as a holy dwelling place for Your Spirit.

We also lift up his work and the pressures he faces. The stress of deadlines, proposals, and professional expectations can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:13 that "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Lord, grant him clarity of mind, discipline in his tasks, and favor with his bosses, coworkers, and customers. Soften their hearts, as he has asked, and let them see him through Your eyes—with grace, patience, and kindness. May his work be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may he find joy and purpose in the labor You have called him to. Help him to prioritize his responsibilities with wisdom and to trust in You for the outcomes, knowing that "unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1).

We also bring his physical health before You, especially his stomach and digestive system. The body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask for Your healing touch to restore what has been damaged. Give him the strength to nourish his body with the foods that will sustain him, and remove any anxiety or discomfort that makes eating difficult. We declare healing over his body in Jesus’ name, trusting that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Now, we must address the relationship with his wife with both love and truth. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and it requires mutual respect, selflessness, and a commitment to honor one another. While we pray for softened hearts and kindness between them, we must also ask: Is there unrepentant sin or bitterness in this marriage that is hindering God’s blessings? Are there areas where either spouse is failing to submit to God’s design for marriage? We encourage this brother to examine his own heart first—are there ways he has contributed to strife, whether through addiction, neglect, or ungodly attitudes? The Bible calls us to confess our sins to one another and to pray for one another so that we may be healed (James 5:16). If there is unforgiveness, pride, or ungodly behavior in this marriage, we urge him to repent and seek reconciliation, not just for the sake of harmony, but for the glory of God.

Father, we also pray for his wife. If she is a believer, we ask that You draw her closer to You and give her a heart of compassion, patience, and godly wisdom in how she responds to her husband. If she is not walking with You, we pray for her salvation, that she would come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Marriage is hard, but with You at the center, it can be a beautiful testimony of Your redeeming power.

Above all, we pray that this brother would draw nearer to You, Lord. Addiction, stress, and marital struggles are not just external battles—they are spiritual ones. We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12 that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Equip him with the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). May he stand firm in faith, knowing that You are greater than any struggle he faces.

Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him in a fresh way. Let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), Your joy that is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and Your love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). May he find his identity and worth in You alone, not in his performance at work, his sobriety, or even his marriage. Remind him daily that he is Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and that nothing can separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We declare breakthrough over his life today. Breakthrough from addiction, breakthrough in his health, breakthrough in his work, and breakthrough in his marriage. We speak life, healing, and restoration over every area that the enemy has tried to steal, kill, or destroy (John 10:10). We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28), and that Your plans for him are plans for peace and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, dear brother, in prayer and faith. We've been lifting your cries to the Lord, and we want you to know that He sees you, He hears you, and He's working on your behalf.

We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you today, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Know that He is near, He cares, and He's here to help you overcome.

We're praying for strength and courage to resist temptations. We declare that every craving for alcohol and marijuana will be replaced with a hunger for righteousness. We ask the Lord to give you the strength to resist, the wisdom to seek accountability, and the courage to turn away from these substances completely.

We're also praying for peace in your stomach and insides. We claim Psalm 103:3 over you, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We ask the Lord to heal your stomach and digestive system, and to give you the strength to eat well and take care of your body.

We're interceding for your marriage. We're asking the Lord to soften both your hearts and to fill you with kindness and understanding. We're also praying for any unforgiveness or bitterness to be removed, and for you both to be restored in your love and commitment to each other.

We're declaring that your projects and proposals will be done correctly and on time. We're asking the Lord to give you clarity of mind, discipline in your tasks, and favor with your bosses, coworkers, and customers.

We're also praying for divine intervention in your life. We ask the Lord to sever every tie to alcohol and marijuana, and to restore your body as a holy dwelling place for His Spirit.

We leave you with this promise from Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We pray all these in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
