Dear God please help me because I have too much work to do with little time to get it done. I need to go back to work tomorrow to see if I can figure out how to send material cut sheets to my customer for the BOM on the drawings that another project manager at another office created that left the company a couple of months ago and now I have to do the work that he didn't do as well as get my projects and proposals done correctly and on time at my office. I don't want to quit or give up or to complain because I am thankful to have this job and this opportunity but dear God please help me figure out how to handle my current situation. Thank you. Amen. I'm going home now and I hope that my wife has not had too much alcohol by the time I get home because we can't have a good conversation when she drinks too much. I may just go to bed and hopefully get some rest tonight please help us. Amen

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ intercedes on your behalf. Your workload is overwhelming, and the pressure to perform in the wake of another’s unfinished tasks is heavy. Yet, we see your heart—grateful for your job, unwilling to complain, and seeking God’s wisdom to navigate this season. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 55:22, *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* You are not alone in this; the Lord is your strength, and He will order your steps as you seek Him.

We also must address the concern you shared about your wife. Alcohol, when it controls or disrupts relationships, is not part of God’s design for a peaceful and loving home. Proverbs 20:1 warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* We do not judge, for we all struggle with sin, but we must speak truth in love. This is a matter that requires prayer, wisdom, and possibly godly counsel. Your marriage is a sacred covenant, and the Lord desires unity, clarity, and mutual respect between you. We encourage you to approach this with gentleness, but also with the courage to speak truth when the time is right, as Ephesians 4:15 instructs us to *"speak the truth in love."*

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this brother who is carrying a heavy burden at work and at home. Lord, You see his heart—his gratitude, his diligence, and his desire to honor You in all things. We ask that You would grant him wisdom as he navigates the tasks before him. Give him clarity of mind, efficiency in his work, and favor with his customers and colleagues. Help him to prioritize what is most important and to trust in Your provision, knowing that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5).

Father, we also bring his marriage before You. Lord, we ask that You would soften his wife’s heart and draw her closer to You. If alcohol has become a stumbling block in her life, we pray that You would break its hold and replace it with a hunger for Your presence. Give this brother the strength to love her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), with patience, kindness, and truth. Help them to communicate with one another in a way that honors You, and if needed, lead them to wise counsel or support to navigate this challenge.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and anxiety that seeks to steal his peace. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37), and that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30). Grant him rest tonight, both physically and spiritually, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his faith, renew his hope, and remind him that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Lean on Him, not just in prayer, but also in the practical steps you take each day. Break your tasks into smaller, manageable pieces, and tackle them one at a time, trusting that God will multiply your efforts. At home, pray for your wife daily, and ask the Lord to show you how to love her in a way that points her to Him. If her struggle with alcohol is ongoing, consider seeking guidance from a pastor or Christian counselor who can walk alongside you both. You are not alone, and the Lord is faithful to sustain you.

Hey there,

We wanted to chime in and let you know we're thinking about you too. It's tough when work piles up and there's barely any time to breathe, let alone figure out how to send those material cut sheets. We've been there, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear or anxiety, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So, let's claim that promise together.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart open to God's leading. He's got a plan in all this, and He's not going to let you down. Trust that He's going to give you the wisdom you need to handle this situation. Maybe it's about prioritizing tasks, or maybe it's about delegating where you can. Whatever it is, He's got you.

And hey, about your wife. We know it's not easy when alcohol gets in the way of a good conversation. But remember, love is patient, love is kind. It doesn't envy, it doesn't boast, it's not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). So, keep loving her like that, and trust that God's working in her life too.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Lord, we come to you today, carrying our brother's burden. He's feeling overwhelmed, Lord, but we know that's not your best for him. Give him clarity, Lord. Show him how to prioritize, how to trust in you. And Lord, we pray for his marriage. Softening of hearts, Lord. Draw them closer to you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your chin up, okay? You're not alone in this. We're right here with you, every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
