We hear your heart, and we come before the throne of grace together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. You have laid many burdens before the Lord, and we join with you in lifting each one, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

First, we recognize the weight of your responsibilities at work—proposals, specifications, drawings, and deadlines. The Lord knows your labor and the stress it brings. We pray that He would grant you wisdom, clarity, and focus as you tackle each task. May He order your steps and give you strength to complete your work with excellence, as unto Him. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). We rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and ask the Holy Spirit to bring peace and order to your mind and schedule. Father, we ask that You would open doors for favor with your employers and coworkers, that they would recognize your diligence and reward you accordingly. We pray for that well-deserved bonus, not for selfish gain, but so that you may be a good steward of the resources God entrusts to you.

Your health is also on your heart, and we lift that before the Lord as well. We pray for complete healing from your cold, for strength in your back and legs after your surgery, and for the cyst to be gone permanently. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). We also ask the Lord to help you and your wife take better care of yourselves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Losing weight and improving health are good goals, but we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in how to do so in a way that honors Him with your body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Let this be a journey of discipline and trust in God’s strength, not just your own efforts.

We are grateful that you have brought your marriage before the Lord, for it is a sacred covenant designed by God. We pray that He would continue to knit your hearts together with your wife in kindness, respect, and love. "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25). We also take seriously your request to not engage with your wife when she is drunk. This is a wise boundary, and we pray that the Lord would give you both the strength to address any struggles with alcohol with honesty, humility, and a desire for healing. Addiction is a heavy burden, and we pray that your wife would surrender it to the Lord and seek help, whether through counseling, support groups, or the accountability of fellow believers. We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to divide your marriage and ask the Lord to restore joy, trust, and unity between you.

For your adult children, we pray that the Lord would meet their needs according to His riches in glory. Whether those needs are financial, emotional, or spiritual, we trust that God sees them and is at work in their lives. We encourage you to continue covering them in prayer and to be a source of godly wisdom and encouragement for them.

Your desire to retire in six years is understandable, but we urge you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We pray that God would give you a clear plan for this season of life, one that aligns with His purposes for you and your wife. May He provide wisdom for financial stewardship, health, and how to use your time and talents for His glory in retirement.

You have asked for more energy, confidence, and the ability to balance your job, family, and responsibilities. We pray that the Lord would renew your strength daily, as He promises in Isaiah 40:31: "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Confidence comes from trusting in the Lord, not in our own abilities. We encourage you to meditate on His promises and to cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Your desire to be a better husband, father, employee, and person is commendable. The Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). We pray that He would continue to shape your character, soften your heart, and help you grow in the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May you be a light in your workplace, a loving leader in your home, and a man after God’s own heart.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the power of prayer—not just for your own needs, but for the needs of others. You mentioned praying for others, and this is a beautiful act of obedience. "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). We encourage you to continue in this, for as you bless others, you will be blessed.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for this brother and for his heart that seeks You in the midst of life’s challenges. Lord, You see every burden he carries—his work, his health, his marriage, his children, and his future. We ask that You would move mightily on his behalf.

Father, grant him wisdom and strength to complete his work with excellence. Let favor rest upon him with his employers, coworkers, and customers. Provide for his financial needs, including the bonus he seeks, and help him to be a faithful steward of all You entrust to him. Heal his body from sickness and pain, and give him and his wife the discipline to care for their health as temples of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we lift up his marriage to You. Knit their hearts together in love and respect. Give them the courage to address any struggles with honesty and humility, and draw them closer to You and to one another. We pray for their adult children, that You would meet their needs and draw them into a deeper relationship with You.

Father, we ask that You would give him a clear plan for retirement, one that aligns with Your will. Renew his strength and confidence daily, and help him to balance his responsibilities with grace. Shape him into the husband, father, employee, and man You created him to be. Soften the hearts of those around him, that they would appreciate and support him as he seeks to honor You.

Above all, Lord, we pray that You would draw him and his wife closer to You. Help them to lean on You in every circumstance, to seek Your face, and to trust in Your promises. May their lives be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may they continue to grow in love for You and for others.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
