Jesus Christ please help me

Disciple of Prayer
Dear God please help me stop drinking alcohol. Please let this be the last weekend of drinking. I don't want to loose my job and my wife and my liver to whiskey. I have more alcohol being delivered again and I am spending too much money on junk. Please help me before it's too late. Please pray for me to change. Please let this be the last weekend of drinking! Amen 🙏

We hear the desperation in your cry for help, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your plea to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your acknowledgment of the destruction alcohol is bringing into your life is the first step toward freedom, and we praise God for the conviction He has placed in your heart. The Word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Your body is not your own to destroy with alcohol—it belongs to God, and He calls you to honor Him with it.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of you in the name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we declare that his grip on your life is broken right now. You are not powerless—you have the power of the Holy Spirit living within you, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We command every chain of bondage to alcohol to be shattered in Jesus’ name. You do not have to live another day enslaved to this substance.

We also want to address the financial waste you mentioned. Proverbs 21:20 says, "There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it up." The money you are pouring into alcohol is being swallowed up by foolishness, but God has a better plan for your resources. We pray that the Lord would open your eyes to the wisdom of stewardship and that He would redirect your finances toward His kingdom and your family’s well-being.

Your concern about losing your job, your wife, and your health is valid, and we pray that God would intervene in each of these areas. Your marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and we pray that He would restore and strengthen it as you turn away from this sin. Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church—this means laying down your life for her, not drowning it in alcohol. We pray that your wife would see your repentance and that God would heal any wounds caused by this struggle.

Now, we come together in prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious brother to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see his heart and his desire to break free from the chains of alcohol. We ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit and grant him the strength to resist temptation. Father, we declare that he is not defined by his addiction—he is defined by the blood of Jesus and the victory won on the cross. We pray that You would remove the desire for alcohol from his heart and replace it with a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Lord, we ask that You would protect his job, his marriage, and his health. Restore what has been broken and give him the courage to seek accountability and support from godly men who can walk with him in this journey. Father, we pray that this weekend would indeed be his last weekend of drinking. Break every stronghold, Lord, and set him free. We ask that You would fill the void in his heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that this brother is forgiven, redeemed, and set free in Jesus’ name. May he walk in the newness of life that You have promised to all who turn to You. We pray all of this according to Your will, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps to support your decision to quit drinking. Surround yourself with godly accountability—find a Christian brother or a support group that can pray with you and hold you to your commitment. Remove all alcohol from your home and avoid places or situations where you know temptation will be strong. Fill your time with Scripture, prayer, and godly fellowship. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Stand firm in your resolve, and the enemy will have no choice but to flee.

You are not alone in this battle. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and set captives free is fighting for you. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and walk in the freedom He has already purchased for you. We are standing with you, believing that this is indeed your last weekend of drinking. May God bless you and keep you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We're right here with you, brother. We've felt that desperation, that overwhelming urge to break free from something that's been holding us back. But we also know the power of Jesus Christ, who came to set captives free. He's done it for us, and He'll do it for you too.

You've taken the first step by acknowledging the problem and asking for help. That's huge! Now, let's keep moving forward together. We're claiming 1 Corinthians 10:13 over you - "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

We're praying for strength, brother. Strength to resist temptation, strength to stand firm, strength to walk in freedom. We're asking God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to remove the desire for alcohol from your heart, and to replace it with a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

We're also praying for protection - for your job, your marriage, your health. We're asking God to restore what's been broken and to give you the courage to seek accountability and support from godly men who can walk with you in this journey.

And brother, we're believing with you that this weekend will indeed be your last weekend of drinking. We're claiming victory in Jesus' name. We're declaring that you are forgiven, redeemed, and set free. You are not defined by your addiction, but by the blood of Jesus and the victory won on the cross.

You're not alone in this. We're right here with you, standing, believing, and praying. Let's walk this road together, one step at a time, trusting in Jesus every step of the way. You can do this, brother. We believe in you. Let's keep moving forward in freedom.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have been lifting you up before the Lord these past days, standing in faith with you as you cry out for deliverance from the grip of alcohol. It takes such courage to lay this battle before God and before fellow believers, and we are so thankful you reached out to us. Every time we prayed, we asked the Holy Spirit to break every chain, to quiet every craving, and to fill the empty places in your heart with the peace and joy that only Jesus can give.

We prayed that this would truly be your last weekend of drinking—that the Lord would give you strength to turn away from the bottle for good and to turn toward Him with a whole heart. We asked God to guard your job, to protect your marriage, and to heal your body, trusting that He hears the prayers of His people and moves mightily on behalf of those who seek Him. We also prayed for wisdom with your finances, that the money once spent on alcohol would be redirected toward what truly matters—providing for your family and honoring God with your resources.

If the Lord has already answered these prayers in a powerful way—if you’ve experienced breakthrough, freedom, or even the first steps toward healing—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in what God has done. If, however, the struggle continues and you feel you need more prayer support, we encourage you to post this request again. We are not going anywhere; we will keep standing with you, lifting you up, and believing with you for complete victory.

Remember, the same God who parted the Red Sea is fighting for you. The same Savior who calmed the storm is speaking peace over your life. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is at work within you, giving you power to overcome. Keep pressing into Him, keep seeking His face, and know that we are here, praying in Jesus’ mighty name. May the Lord bless you, strengthen you, and draw you ever closer to His heart as you walk this journey of faith and freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
