We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we join you in lifting this burden to our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we find true forgiveness, transformation, and hope. You have called upon the right name—Jesus Christ—because there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other name through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy in our time of need. The Scriptures remind us in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in Hebrews 4:16, we are told, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."*

Your plea for forgiveness is heard by God, and we declare over you the truth of 1 John 1:9: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Repentance is the first step, and you have taken it by acknowledging your need for change and crying out to Jesus. This is not a moment for shame, but for surrender—surrender to the One who loves you enough to break the chains of addiction and set you free. Jesus said in John 8:34-36, *"Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. The Son remains forever. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."*

The struggles you face with alcohol and marijuana are not just habits—they are strongholds that the enemy uses to keep you bound, numb, and distant from the abundant life Jesus died to give you. Ephesians 5:18 warns us, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* And 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 declares, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body is not your own—it belongs to Christ, who paid for it with His blood. He desires to fill you with His Spirit, not with substances that dull your mind and spirit.

We also sense in your words a weariness of pretending—pretending that everything is okay when it is not. Oh, how the Lord longs for you to stop pretending and instead rest in His truth! Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* You don’t have to put on a facade before God or before others. He sees your brokenness, and He is not repulsed by it—He is drawn to it. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

Now is the time to replace the lie of addiction with the truth of God’s Word. Romans 12:2 commands, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This transformation begins with filling your mind with Scripture, surrounding yourself with believers who will hold you accountable, and fleeing from the temptations that have ensnared you. 2 Timothy 2:22 urges, *"Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."*

We also encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support and discipleship. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* You are not meant to walk this path alone. The body of Christ is here to uphold you, pray with you, and walk beside you as you seek freedom.

Let us pray together for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who has cried out to You for help. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears the prayers of the repentant and brokenhearted. Your Word says in Psalm 51:17, *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."* Father, we ask that You would forgive every sin, every moment of weakness, and every time this child has turned to substances instead of to You. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and create in them a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within them, as David prayed in Psalm 51:10.

Lord Jesus, You came to set the captives free, and we declare freedom over this life right now. Break the chains of alcohol and marijuana. Destroy the strongholds that have kept them bound. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may walk in victory and not in defeat. Give them the strength to flee from temptation and the wisdom to avoid the places and people that lead them into sin. Surround them with godly brothers and sisters who will encourage them, pray with them, and hold them accountable.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception that has told them they must pretend that everything is okay. Lord, replace that lie with Your truth—that in You, they can be honest, vulnerable, and free. Heal the wounds in their heart that have driven them to numb the pain with substances. Let them find their comfort and joy in You alone.

We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, Lord. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). Fill them with a hunger and thirst for righteousness that outweighs any craving for the things of this world. Give them a vision for the life You have called them to—a life of purpose, sobriety, and deep intimacy with You.

We thank You, Father, that You are already at work. We trust in Your power to transform, restore, and redeem. May this be a turning point—a moment they look back on as the day You set them free. We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, this is not the end of your story—it is the beginning of your freedom. The road ahead may not be easy, but it is worth it. Every day you choose to walk in obedience to Christ is a day the enemy loses his grip on your life. Cling to Jesus. Fill your heart with His Word. Seek out fellowship with other believers. And remember, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13).

If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* If you have not yet taken this step, do so today. There is no greater decision you can make, and no greater power to break the chains in your life than the power of the risen Christ.

We are standing with you in prayer. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. The Lord is with you!

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here for you. We know the struggle is real, but remember, Jesus is real too. He's right there with you, ready to help you overcome.

We're claiming 1 Corinthians 10:13 over you today. It says, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

So, keep fighting, keep trusting. When the temptation to drink or smoke comes, remember, God is faithful. He won't let you face it alone. He'll provide a way out. And we're here, praying for you, believing with you, and standing by you every step of the way.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. He's got this. And remember, you're not alone. We're in this together. Keep fighting, friend. You can do this!

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt cry for help and the honesty in your prayer request. It takes great courage to come before the Lord with such vulnerability, and we want you to know that we have been standing with you in prayer these past days, lifting up your desire for freedom and transformation to our Heavenly Father.

We have prayed specifically for the chains of alcohol and substance use to be broken in your life, asking Jesus to fill you with His strength where you feel weak and His peace where there has been turmoil. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to minister to your heart, reminding you of God’s unfailing love and forgiveness, and to give you the power to walk in the newness of life that Christ offers. We’ve also prayed for God’s grace to surround you, that you would not be overwhelmed by guilt or shame but would instead experience the freedom that comes from His mercy.

If you have seen even the smallest glimmer of change—perhaps a moment of clarity, a renewed sense of hope, or a step away from those habits—we encourage you to share it with us as a praise report. Your testimony could be a source of encouragement to others who are struggling in similar ways. But if the battle still feels overwhelming, please know that we are not walking away. We invite you to post this request again so that we can continue to intercede for you, believing with you for God’s deliverance and healing.

Remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is not distant from your pain; He is right there with you, ready to lift you up. Keep seeking Him, keep surrendering your struggles to Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. We stand with you in faith, declaring that victory is yours through Christ Jesus.

May God’s grace sustain you, His peace guard your heart, and His power work mightily in you as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
