Dear Jesus Christ please help me at work. Please help me get my projects and proposals done correctly and on time. Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my customers and my coworkers. Please help me be a better person and a better husband and a better dad and a better provider. Please remove the pain in my back and legs after having a cyst in my spine bursted and my L4 and L5 vertebrae is worn out and obliterated. Please help me overcome my anxiety and my alcohol and smoking pot challenges. Please help my wife forgive me for being so weak and sad and selfish about my feelings. I want to get better and to stop thinking and worrying about myself. Amen dear God please help me and my family and my employer 🙏

We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cries to our Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is your strength, healer, and provider in every area of need. You have come before Him with humility and honesty, and we know He hears you, for His Word assures us in **1 Peter 5:7**, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* What a precious truth—that the Creator of the universe bends His ear to your prayers and carries your burdens as His own.

First, we praise God that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your faith in turning to Him is the foundation of all you seek. As **Philippians 4:13** declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes your work, your health, your struggles, and your role as a husband and father. You are not alone in these battles—Christ is your ever-present help, and He will equip you for every good work.

Let us address each of your requests with the truth of Scripture and cover them in prayer.

Your **work and provision** are in the hands of the Lord. He is the one who gives you skills, wisdom, and favor. **Colossians 3:23-24** reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your diligence is seen by Him, and He will honor your faithfulness. The hearts of your bosses, customers, and coworkers are in His hands—He can soften them and grant you favor as you seek to honor Him in your labor. Trust that He will provide for your family’s needs, for **Matthew 6:33** promises, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

Your **health struggles** are deeply felt, and we know the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. The pain in your back and legs is a heavy burden, but our God is the Great Physician. **Psalm 147:3** tells us, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* We pray for His healing touch upon your body, that He would restore your vertebrae, remove inflammation, and grant you relief. Even in suffering, His grace is sufficient, as **2 Corinthians 12:9** assures us: *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Lean on Him, and let this season draw you closer to His strength.

Your battle with **anxiety, alcohol, and smoking pot** is a spiritual warfare, but victory is already yours in Christ. These struggles are not your identity—they are chains that Jesus came to break. **1 Corinthians 6:12** warns, *"‘All things are lawful for me,’ but not all things are profitable. ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be mastered by anything."* You were not created to be enslaved by these things, but to walk in freedom. **2 Timothy 1:7** declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The Holy Spirit within you is greater than any addiction or fear. We urge you to surrender these struggles to Jesus daily, seek accountability with godly men, and fill your mind with Scripture. **Philippians 4:6-7** commands, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

As a **husband and father**, you are called to lead with love, sacrifice, and humility. Your desire to be better is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in you. **Ephesians 5:25** instructs, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it."* Love is not based on feelings but on action—serving, forgiving, and pointing your wife to Christ. **Colossians 3:19** adds, *"Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* Your wife’s forgiveness is important, but even more, seek God’s forgiveness and let His love transform you. As for your children, **Ephesians 6:4** says, *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* Your family needs your presence, your prayers, and your pursuit of godliness more than perfection.

Lastly, your **self-focus and sorrow** can only be overcome by fixing your eyes on Jesus. **Galatians 2:20** proclaims, *"I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me."* When you feel weak, remember that His strength is perfected in your weakness. When you feel selfish, ask Him to fill you with His love, which seeks the good of others. You are not defined by your failures, but by His redemption.

Now, let us pray together over these things:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has poured out his heart before You. Lord, You see his struggles—his weariness at work, the pain in his body, the battles in his mind, and the weight of his responsibilities as a husband and father. We thank You that he has turned to You, for You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

**For his work**, Lord, grant him wisdom, clarity, and excellence in his projects and proposals. Soften the hearts of his bosses, customers, and coworkers, that they may see Your favor upon him. Provide for his family’s needs, and let him rest in Your promise to supply all things according to Your riches in glory.

**For his health**, Jesus, You are the healer. We ask for Your restoring hand upon his back and legs. Heal the damage in his spine, remove the pain, and strengthen his body. Let this trial draw him closer to You, that he may testify of Your faithfulness.

**For his struggles with anxiety, alcohol, and pot**, Lord, break every chain. Fill him with Your Spirit, that he may walk in self-control and peace. Replace his fears with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Give him the courage to seek help, to flee temptation, and to stand firm in Your freedom.

**For his marriage and family**, Father, renew his heart. Teach him to love his wife as Christ loves the church—sacrificially, patiently, and selflessly. Soften his wife’s heart toward him, and let forgiveness flow between them. Help him to lead his children with grace and truth, pointing them to You in all things.

**For his mind and spirit**, Lord, lift his eyes above his circumstances. Remind him that he is Your child, redeemed and loved. Replace his self-focus with a passion for Your glory and the good of others. Fill him with Your joy, which is his strength.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that he is defined by his struggles. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that he is more than a conqueror, and that You, Lord, will complete the good work You have begun in him. Strengthen him, Lord, and let him rise up in Your power.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

---
Brother, we encourage you to **cling to Christ daily**. Read His Word, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with godly men who can walk alongside you. **James 5:16** says, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* You are not meant to carry these burdens alone—seek fellowship, accountability, and the support of your church family.

If you have not already, we urge you to **surrender every area of your life to Jesus**. If there is any sin—whether in your struggles with substances, your thoughts, or your actions—confess it to Him and turn away from it. **1 John 1:9** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* His mercy is new every morning.

Lastly, **fix your hope on eternity**. This life is but a vapor, but what you do for Christ will last forever. **2 Corinthians 4:16-18** reminds us, *"Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."*

Stand firm, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. We are praying for you and believe that God will bring beauty from these ashes. Keep seeking Him.

Dear friend, we join you in prayer, laying our hearts before the throne of grace with you. We are reminded of the promise in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." We come boldly, knowing that our Father in heaven is eager to hear our cries and grant us the help we need.

First, let's praise God for your humility and honesty in coming to Him with your burdens. It's in our weakness that we find His strength, and in our vulnerability that we discover His love. We thank Him for your faith in turning to Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

For your work and provision, we claim the promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He who equips you for every good work will also provide for your needs. We ask that He would grant you favor with your bosses, customers, and coworkers, softening their hearts towards you. We also pray that He would remove the pain in your back and legs, restoring your spine and granting you relief.

In your battle with anxiety, alcohol, and smoking pot, we claim the victory that is already yours in Christ. We pray that you would feel the power of the Holy Spirit within you, greater than any addiction or fear. We ask that He would fill you with His love, which casts out all fear, and grant you the self-control to overcome these challenges. We also pray for your wife, that she would find forgiveness and healing in this process.

As a husband and father, we pray that you would be filled with the love, sacrifice, and humility of Christ. We ask that He would grant you wisdom and patience in leading your family, and that you would find grace in your imperfections. We also pray that your wife and children would see Jesus in you, and that your family would be drawn closer to Him through this season.

Lastly, we pray that you would find freedom from self-focus and sorrow by fixing your eyes on Jesus. We claim the promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We ask that He would fill you with His joy, which is your strength, and grant you the courage to keep seeking Him.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
