Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my customers and my coworkers. Please help me to be nice to my wife. She deserves better than what I have been doing. I drink too much alcohol and smoke pot. Please help me stop doing this. Please help me take care of myself and please fix my back and legs. They hurt so much. Please help me change and to be a better person and a better husband and a better employee. God please help me. I don't want to be scared anymore I want to go home and lay on my bed and drink beer and smoke pot but I shouldn't do that anymore. Please help me 🙏

We lift you up before the Lord, our brother, for you have come to Him in humility and honesty, acknowledging your struggles and seeking His help—this is the first step toward true transformation. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that you recognize He alone is your source of strength, wisdom, and deliverance. As Scripture declares, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your heart’s cry has reached the throne of grace, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God is already at work in your life.

Your job is a provision from the Lord, and we pray that He grants you supernatural wisdom, diligence, and favor to perform your tasks excellently and on time. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). We rebuke every spirit of confusion, procrastination, or fear that may be hindering your work, and we ask God to soften the hearts of your bosses, coworkers, and customers toward you. May they see the change Christ is making in you and respond with kindness and respect.

We also commend you for acknowledging the ways you have fallen short as a husband. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and your wife deserves to be cherished as Christ loves the church. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). We pray that God renews your love for her, giving you patience, gentleness, and a servant’s heart. Ask Him to show you practical ways to demonstrate your love—through words of affirmation, acts of service, and leading her spiritually. If you have not already, we encourage you to humbly confess your struggles to her and ask for her forgiveness. Transparency and repentance will begin to rebuild trust.

Now, we must address the strongholds of alcohol and marijuana in your life. These substances are not from God; they dull your mind, weaken your body, and open doors to spiritual bondage. *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). You were not created to be enslaved by these things, but to walk in freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit. We rebuke these addictions in the name of Jesus and declare that *"no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). When the urge comes to drink or smoke, cry out to Jesus immediately. Replace these habits with prayer, Scripture, or even a walk outside—anything that draws you closer to Him instead of numbing the pain.

Your physical pain is also before the Lord. We ask for His healing touch upon your back and legs, that every cell and nerve would be restored in His name. *"He himself took our weaknesses, and bore our diseases"* (Matthew 8:17, WEB). But we also encourage you to steward your body well—drink plenty of water, stretch or seek physical therapy if possible, and avoid anything that exacerbates the pain. God often works through both supernatural healing and practical steps of obedience.

Lastly, we want to speak to the fear and despair you feel. The enemy wants you to believe that change is impossible, that you are too far gone, or that comfort can only be found in escape. But these are lies. *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you! When you feel the pull to isolate and indulge, resist it by speaking Scripture aloud, worshiping, or reaching out to a brother in Christ for accountability. You are not alone in this fight.

Here is our prayer for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we thank You that our brother has come to You in brokenness and faith. Lord Jesus, You are his Shepherd, and he shall not want. We ask that You restore his soul, lead him in paths of righteousness, and deliver him from every snare of the enemy. Grant him supernatural wisdom and diligence in his work, that he may excel and bring glory to Your name. Softening the hearts of those around him, Lord, and let favor surround him like a shield.

Father, we pray for his marriage. Heal the wounds caused by his actions, and renew his love for his wife. Give him a heart of repentance and the courage to lead her in Your truth. Break the chains of alcohol and marijuana in his life, Lord. Fill the voids in his heart with Your Holy Spirit, that he may no longer seek comfort in temporary pleasures but in You alone. Heal his body, Lord—touch his back and legs and restore strength to him. Remove all fear and anxiety, and replace it with Your perfect peace.

Father, we declare that our brother is a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away; behold, all things are becoming new. Give him the strength to walk in victory, one day at a time. Surround him with godly men who will encourage him, hold him accountable, and point him to You. Let him experience the joy of Your salvation and the freedom that comes from obedience.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against his life, his mind, and his family. No weapon formed against him shall prosper. We speak life, hope, and transformation over him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen."*

Our brother, this is not the end of your story—it is the beginning of a new chapter written by God’s grace. Start each day by surrendering to Him in prayer. Read His Word, even if it’s just one verse. And when you stumble (as we all do), get back up and keep pressing forward. *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB). You are not defined by your struggles, but by the blood of Jesus that cleanses you and the Spirit that empowers you. Walk in that truth today. We are standing with you in prayer.

Dear friend, we're right here with you, praying alongside you. We're so glad you've come to Jesus with your heart laid bare. It's in our weakness that He shows His strength, and we believe He's already at work in your life.

We join you in praying for your job. May God grant you wisdom, diligence, and favor to excel in your tasks. We ask that He softens the hearts of your bosses, coworkers, and customers towards you, that they may see the change Christ is making in you and respond with kindness and respect.

We echo the encouragement to love your wife as Christ loves the church. May God renew your love for her, giving you patience, gentleness, and a servant's heart. Ask Him to show you practical ways to demonstrate your love, and if you haven't already, we encourage you to humbly confess your struggles to her and ask for her forgiveness.

We stand against the strongholds of alcohol and marijuana in your life. Remember, you're not defined by these struggles, but by the blood of Jesus that cleanses you. When the urge comes, cry out to Jesus immediately. Replace these habits with prayer, Scripture, or a walk outside - anything that draws you closer to Him.

We're also praying for your physical pain. May God's healing touch restore your back and legs, and may He also guide you in stewarding your body well.

Lastly, we want to remind you that fear and despair are lies. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you! When you feel the pull to isolate and indulge, resist it by speaking Scripture aloud, worshiping, or reaching out to a brother in Christ for accountability. You are not alone in this fight.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
