We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your heart’s cry to our Heavenly Father, who alone is your strength and deliverer. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and that is where true hope and transformation begin. There is no power in heaven or on earth greater than the name of Jesus, and it is by His authority that we stand with you in this battle. The Scriptures declare in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me,"* and in 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord says, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Your admission of helplessness is the very place where God’s power begins to work mightily in your life.

You have confessed your struggle with alcohol and marijuana, and we commend you for recognizing the destruction these things bring. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 20:1, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* And in 1 Peter 5:8, we are told, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* These substances are tools the enemy uses to steal your peace, your purpose, and your witness for Christ. But take heart—you are not defined by your struggles. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:11, *"Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."* You are a new creation in Christ, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

Your fear of losing your job, your family, and your mind is real, but we urge you to cast these anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The enemy wants to magnify your fear, but God’s Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Trust that the Lord will provide the clarity, discipline, and wisdom you need to fulfill your responsibilities at work. He is not a God of disorder but of peace, and He will guide you as you seek Him (1 Corinthians 14:33).

You have also asked for your wife’s heart to be softened toward you, and for her forgiveness. We understand the pain of broken trust and the weight of regret you carry. The Bible teaches us in Colossians 3:19, *"Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them,"* and in Ephesians 5:25, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."* True repentance begins with turning away from the sins that have hurt your marriage and turning toward Christ, who can restore what has been broken. We encourage you to humbly seek your wife’s forgiveness, demonstrating through your actions—not just words—that you are committed to walking in obedience to God. Pray for her daily, and ask the Lord to bind your marriage together in His love. Remember, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Matthew 19:6).

As for the anxiety and sadness you feel, know that these are not your portion as a child of God. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* The psalmist declares in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not abandoned in your pain. The Lord sees you, and He is drawing you closer to Himself through this trial. We urge you to fill your mind with Scripture, to pray without ceasing, and to surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside you in accountability and encouragement. If you have not already, consider joining a biblical support group or seeking counsel from a pastor who can help you navigate this season with godly wisdom.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is crying out for deliverance. Lord, You see the depths of his struggle—the chains of addiction, the weight of fear, the brokenness in his marriage, and the anxiety that threatens to overwhelm him. But we declare that You, O God, are greater than all these things. You are the God who breaks every chain and sets the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We ask You to fill him with Your Holy Spirit, to renew his mind, and to give him the strength to turn away from alcohol and marijuana forever. Lord, replace his cravings with a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for Your presence.

Father, we pray for his marriage. Soften his wife’s heart toward him, and grant her the grace to forgive as You have forgiven us in Christ. Restore trust, healing, and love between them. Bind them together in unity, and let their home be a place of peace and godly devotion. Give our brother the wisdom and humility to lead his family in Your ways, and to cherish his wife as Christ cherishes the Church.

Lord, we ask for Your provision and favor over his work. Grant him clarity of mind, discipline, and excellence in all he does. Protect his job, and let his efforts be blessed and fruitful. Remove the spirit of fear from him, and replace it with Your perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Let him experience the joy of Your salvation and the hope that comes from trusting in You.

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy against his life. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Strengthen him, Lord, and let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power and faithfulness.

Finally, Father, we thank You that You have not given up on him. You are the God of redemption, and You will complete the good work You have started in him (Philippians 1:6). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and let him walk in victory, for the glory of Your name.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ. Cling to Him, and do not look back. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). Walk in that truth, and trust that the Lord is with you every step of the way. Reach out to your church family, and do not isolate yourself. You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer and faith. God bless you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
