Dear God please help me get back home so I can lay on my bed and have a cold beer and smoke a vape pen and relax and know that everything is going to be ok. Please help me have a better attitude about my self so that I don't have to have self pity to do things like this anymore. I'm sorry God please forgive me 🙏. I want to go home and cry and to go to bed early today. I want to sleep and dream of better things. I'm so tired and sad and scared about myself. Please help me

We hear the deep weariness and sorrow in your heart, and we are moved with compassion for you. The longing you express for comfort and rest is something our Heavenly Father understands, for He invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him (Matthew 11:28). Yet we must address what we see in your request with both truth and love, for God’s Word does not leave us in our brokenness but calls us to something higher, something eternal.

First, we rejoice that you cried out to Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). However, we must gently but firmly point out that the comforts you are seeking—alcohol, vaping, and escaping into sleep—are temporary fixes that cannot satisfy the deep needs of your soul. The Bible warns us not to seek refuge in things that numb or distract us from the true source of peace. Ephesians 5:18 tells us, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* Similarly, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to honor God with them, not fill them with substances that harm or control us.

Your self-pity and fear are real, but they are not the end of your story. The enemy wants you to believe that you are stuck in this cycle of sadness and exhaustion, but God’s Word declares that you are *more than a conqueror* through Christ (Romans 8:37). The pity you feel for yourself can be replaced with the *compassion of Christ*, who Himself was *"a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering"* (Isaiah 53:3). He does not despise your weakness—He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

You mentioned wanting to dream of better things. Oh, beloved, God has *far better* in store for you than even your dreams can imagine! Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for peace and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."* But this hope is not found in escaping reality—it is found in surrendering to the One who can transform your reality. Instead of turning to beer or vaping to relax, what if you turned to the Prince of Peace Himself? Jesus said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27).

We also hear the fear in your words—fear of yourself, fear of the future. But perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). You do not have to be afraid of your own heart when it is surrendered to Christ. He is making you new, day by day (2 Corinthians 5:17). The sadness you feel is an opportunity to draw near to the God who is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He is not asking you to "pull yourself together" in your own strength—He is asking you to *fall apart in His arms* so He can put you back together in His way.

Now, let us pray for you with the hope and authority we have in Christ:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see every tear, every ache, and every fear. Lord, they are crying out to You, and we thank You that You hear them. You are the God who *sees* (Genesis 16:13), and You are moving even now on their behalf.

We rebuke the spirit of heaviness and despair that has tried to weigh them down (Isaiah 61:3). No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment—even their own—You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, break the chains of self-pity and replace them with the garment of praise. Let them see themselves as You see them: *redeemed, loved, and chosen* (Ephesians 1:4-5).

Lord, we ask that You would remove the desire for temporary comforts that harm the body and dull the spirit. Fill them instead with the Holy Spirit, who brings true comfort, conviction, and joy. Let them taste and see that *You* are good (Psalm 34:8), not the fleeting pleasures of this world.

We pray for supernatural rest—rest for their body, mind, and spirit. When they lie down, let their sleep be sweet and their dreams be filled with Your promises. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let them wake with a renewed sense of Your presence and purpose.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Where there is fear, let there be faith. Where there is sadness, let there be hope. Where there is tiredness, let there be strength in You. Remind them that they are not alone—You are with them, and so are we, their brothers and sisters in Christ, standing in the gap for them.

We declare that their story is not ending in weariness but is being rewritten by Your hand. You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust You to do a mighty work in their life. Give them the courage to face each day with You as their strength. Let them say with the psalmist, *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?"* (Psalm 27:1).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we urge you to turn away from the things that offer false comfort and turn *toward* Jesus. Spend time in His Word. Talk to Him throughout your day. Find a community of believers who can walk with you and remind you of His truth when you feel weak. You are not meant to carry this burden alone—Jesus is waiting to carry it for you.

If you have not fully surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no pit so deep that His love is not deeper still. Run to Him. He is waiting.

Hey there,

We're here with you, feeling your weariness and sadness. We know you're longing for rest and comfort, and we're reminded of Jesus' own words, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We believe He's inviting you to come just as you are, with all your burdens and fears.

We understand the struggle with self-pity and fear. It's real, and it's okay to feel that way. But remember, Jesus doesn't despise you in your weakness. He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He's not asking you to fix yourself first; He wants to meet you right where you are.

Instead of turning to beer, vaping, or escaping into sleep, what if you turned to Jesus? He promises a peace that the world can't give (John 14:27). He's the only one who can truly satisfy the deep needs of your soul.

We're praying for you, dear one. We're asking God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to give you supernatural rest, and to surround you with His peace. We're believing for a mighty work in your life, and we're here to stand with you in the gap.

Please, turn to Jesus. Spend time in His Word, talk to Him throughout your day, and find a community of believers who can walk with you. You don't have to carry this burden alone. Jesus is waiting to carry it for you.

If you haven't fully surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

We're here for you, and we believe in you. Keep fighting, one step at a time, with Jesus by your side. You're not alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your heart before the Father in these past few days. Your raw honesty in this request has moved us deeply, and we have continued to pray not only for your safe return home but for the peace and renewal of your spirit. We know how heavy the weight of weariness and self-doubt can feel, and we’ve asked God to meet you right where you are—with open arms, just as the prodigal’s father did.

We’ve prayed for the comfort of His presence to surround you like a warm blanket, for the assurance that you are deeply loved despite the struggles, and for the strength to see yourself through His eyes. We’ve also asked Him to replace the longing for temporary relief with a deeper hunger for His lasting peace, that you may find rest in Him above all else.

If God has already begun to answer—whether through a change in your circumstances, a renewed sense of hope, or even just a moment of quiet assurance—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs today.

But if the road still feels long and the burden heavy, please don’t hesitate to post again. We are here to walk with you, to remind you that you are not alone, and to keep interceding until breakthrough comes. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He is not finished writing your story.

May He grant you the rest you crave—not just for your body, but for your soul. May He replace fear with faith, sorrow with joy, and self-pity with the unshakable truth of His love for you. Keep seeking Him, even in the small things, and trust that He is working, even when you can’t yet see it.

We are standing with you in prayer. In Jesus Name.
